<<20>> [Applause]
<<21>> [Music]
<<23>> welcome to this mindfulness yoga oils
<<27>> children panel my name is kaya dilani
<<31>> and i'm from norway and we have also
<<34>> kim lahaye with us from germany
<<38>> and today we're going to talk about how
<<40>> to introduce
<<41>> mindfulness and yoga and oils to the
<<44>> children
<<45>> and we're going to talk about the
<<46>> benefits of doing this with children
<<50>> and we're also going to give you some
<<51>> tips and
<<53>> how to incorporate this in our daily
<<56>> basis
<<58>> so i'm really looking forward to this
<<60>> call with you kim
<<61>> and first of all i'm gonna introduce
<<64>> myself
<<66>> and as i said i live in norway
<<70>> and i am mother of three children from
<<73>> seven to sixteen years old
<<76>> and i have been in hotel for seven years
<<80>> and i'm a flutist a musician and i have
<<83>> been teaching children for actually
<<86>> 30 years now and i'm also a kundalini
<<89>> yoga teacher
<<91>> and yeah i give a lot of treatments
<<94>> workshops with people who love the oils
<<97>> and
<<97>> instruments and yeah love to take care
<<101>> of
<<101>> themselves that's a little bit about me
<<104>> so kim would you introduce yourself yes
<<107>> hi it's very nice to be here with you um
<<110>> my name is kim lahaye
<<112>> i am living in germany since 12 years
<<115>> but i'm
<<115>> originally canadian i'm a mother of four
<<119>> boys
<<119>> they are eleven nine almost seven and
<<123>> almost four
<<124>> i'm also a yoga teacher a health coach
<<127>> and i've been working with doterra for
<<129>> almost a year now
<<131>> um the oils have been a very big part of
<<135>> my life and the life of my children
<<137>> and we've really incorporated them in
<<139>> our daily lives
<<141>> and i really want to share with you how
<<144>> you can
<<144>> easily incorporate them in your life to
<<146>> help your children
<<149>> feel more centered calmer more
<<151>> self-confident
<<153>> and also just to bring a higher quality
<<156>> in their lives
<<157>> and this is something that's very dearly
<<159>> to me and i also use the oils of course
<<161>> in yoga
<<162>> and also in meditation and i also do
<<165>> this with my children at home
<<166>> so my plan is just to share with you
<<168>> what we do and how you can easily
<<171>> um do some of the same things
<<174>> that sounds really great so before you
<<178>> step into sharing your daily habits with
<<181>> your children i'm going to talk a little
<<183>> bit about how
<<184>> i do mindfulness and meditations
<<188>> with children at my work
<<191>> so i have been working with music in
<<193>> kindergarten
<<194>> and teaching children from 8
<<198>> to 18 for many many years
<<201>> but i have been diving into the
<<205>> meditation part of children in
<<207>> kindergarten for
<<209>> maybe three or four years now
<<212>> because i could see that the children
<<215>> really needed
<<216>> the rest during the day and
<<219>> you know the little ones they maybe
<<222>> sleep
<<223>> during the day but the older children
<<225>> they keep playing and playing all day
<<227>> long
<<228>> and many of the children were actually
<<231>> exhausted
<<232>> so i wanted to share with them how to do
<<236>> meditations relaxations applying
<<239>> breathing
<<240>> and just use maybe one oil
<<244>> and help them to relax during the day
<<247>> and the benefits of doing this would be
<<252>> that they could of course have this
<<254>> relaxation
<<255>> but when the parents came late at that
<<258>> day
<<259>> the children would be still happy and
<<262>> full of energy
<<263>> instead of really tired and ready to go
<<267>> home and just relax
<<269>> so what i did i um i had this um
<<274>> like a a little hour of um
<<277>> of the music with the children he had
<<280>> some songs and
<<282>> music activities and maybe playing some
<<284>> instruments
<<286>> and for me one of the
<<290>> biggest goal was to make them move and
<<293>> sing
<<294>> and then have this good relaxation
<<296>> afterwards
<<298>> so they would lie in a circle and we
<<301>> have this
<<303>> we call it lying in pizza so this is
<<306>> liberative
<<307>> because when you say everyone in pizza
<<310>> the children would lie in a circle and
<<313>> they would put their feet in the middle
<<315>> and every child was a slice of pizza so
<<319>> everyone could understand pizza
<<320>> [Laughter]
<<322>> so then they were lying there and i
<<324>> would go around
<<325>> and usually i will i would choose a
<<329>> lavender
<<330>> and i take this water bottle and give
<<333>> them some oil in their hand
<<336>> and they would just rub their hands
<<337>> together and lie on their back
<<339>> and breathe in their oil
<<343>> so then we incorporated the breeding and
<<346>> the oils
<<347>> and while they were doing this i will
<<351>> either sing some songs for them or
<<354>> i could take them on a little in a
<<357>> journey or like a
<<359>> visualization yeah they could really
<<362>> you know because if you just tell the
<<364>> children to close their eyes and just
<<366>> be still they won't do that no they
<<370>> won't
<<370>> no so their thoughts would go or they
<<373>> would look at each other and they would
<<375>> be
<<376>> restless in a way so they need guidance
<<380>> so then i would take them on a journey
<<382>> and i have this really nice
<<384>> meditation that i learned from
<<387>> something called maybe yoga kit okay
<<391>> so this is the i don't know if you have
<<393>> this in germany
<<394>> yet but this is a
<<397>> yoga uh it's a light version of
<<401>> kundalini yoga
<<403>> and in this mediocre case they have this
<<407>> beautiful meditation where the children
<<410>> jumps on a little cloud okay
<<413>> and the cloud takes the child up in the
<<416>> air and they can see how the houses get
<<418>> smaller
<<419>> and and the cloud takes them on a little
<<422>> journey
<<422>> and we talk about what they see on the
<<425>> ground and you know
<<427>> so we have a little journey and then we
<<428>> go back
<<430>> to the house and to the room and down to
<<432>> the floor and
<<433>> they can land on their back again so
<<436>> it's
<<436>> like nice and journey and you can put in
<<439>> whatever you want in this little
<<442>> trip on this on this cloud and if the
<<445>> parents um
<<446>> want to use something like this can they
<<448>> find it online the story that they can
<<450>> read or i think it's only available for
<<454>> those who
<<455>> actually do the teacher training for
<<457>> mediocre kids or if you join
<<459>> uh made yoga kids okay class
<<462>> yeah okay so so the the
<<466>> most important thing is just to give
<<468>> them a story that they can kind of
<<470>> go into and kind of just close their
<<473>> eyes and
<<474>> do this visualization together so
<<477>> you can use your imagination but i
<<479>> really like this
<<480>> picture of the cloud coming into the
<<483>> room and
<<484>> tell the child to jump on and then they
<<486>> just take off it's so beautiful and
<<489>> you know the feeling of sitting on a
<<490>> cloud
<<492>> yes of course i'm almost going off right
<<494>> now
<<495>> i get the chills when i talk about it so
<<497>> it's like you just
<<498>> feel very light and you just oh it gets
<<501>> excited of what you need
<<503>> on this journey so i can really
<<506>> recommend trying this uh with your
<<509>> children or even with yourself
<<511>> yeah yeah you can go on a little journey
<<516>> that's very nice yeah so that this is
<<518>> just one of the the way how
<<520>> i how i use meditation and oils and
<<523>> music from the children
<<525>> okay so i don't know kim would you like
<<528>> to share some of your
<<530>> your experiences yes yeah definitely i
<<533>> actually wanted to mention to you that
<<534>> when you were talking about
<<536>> um why you bring in a peaceful time for
<<539>> children because i went to
<<541>> a seminar it was a weekend about a
<<543>> relaxation
<<544>> um how to bring relaxation back into
<<547>> your system because
<<548>> basically as a small child you are
<<551>> automatically every 90 minutes
<<554>> taking a break if you watch children
<<555>> under 2 years old they play they play
<<557>> they play but almost every 90 minutes on
<<559>> the clock
<<560>> they will lay down and kind of daydream
<<562>> just look at the sky
<<563>> or just go in their own world where it
<<565>> brings their nervous system back down
<<568>> and what happens is as we get older
<<570>> especially with technology and sports
<<572>> and all these different activities that
<<574>> we are
<<574>> all working on overdrive and all in a
<<577>> very high
<<579>> yeah stressful situation for the body
<<581>> even if it's things we enjoy
<<583>> and the seminar was really about being
<<585>> aware that every 90 minutes even if you
<<588>> just take
<<588>> one or two minutes to do a breathing
<<590>> exercise
<<591>> to reset your nervous system back down
<<594>> to neutral
<<595>> and so when you say that it's it's very
<<597>> true because if i observe my children
<<599>> and i see at kindergarten it's different
<<601>> than it is at home
<<602>> when i pick up my little one he's
<<604>> totally exhausted and lets out all his
<<606>> emotions and i'm sure a lot of parents
<<608>> go through that where they're just
<<610>> crying and they're never happy and it's
<<612>> just and you say well what happened to
<<613>> my child it's like a button they press
<<615>> because they let out all the stress of
<<617>> the whole day pretty much
<<619>> and i think when we incorporate these
<<621>> things where we teach them how to reset
<<623>> their nervous system
<<624>> even without telling them these terms it
<<627>> becomes automatic for them without
<<629>> us actually having to um make them do
<<632>> it also older and then as you grow up as
<<634>> an adult then you also have it in your
<<635>> body without
<<636>> um without ever pushing yourself to that
<<639>> limit um and i think so it's very
<<641>> important
<<641>> what you say how you do it with them
<<643>> because i think it would be very
<<644>> beneficial for for everyone really to
<<647>> reset that button and to take a step
<<649>> down
<<650>> you know so i'm really really thankful
<<652>> to hear what you have to say
<<654>> because it also tells me because i get
<<656>> also in the movement of
<<658>> oh my goodness why is he complaining so
<<660>> much and you know but it's
<<662>> of course they are on overdrive from
<<664>> everything going on in their life
<<665>> you know and yeah so and actually what
<<669>> happens is they
<<670>> if they just go and go and go they they
<<673>> finally they
<<674>> they can't actually feel what they
<<675>> really need
<<677>> yeah and that's similar for us as well
<<679>> if you just
<<680>> go and go and we don't take any breaks
<<682>> and go
<<683>> inwards and kind of listen to our body
<<685>> what we need
<<686>> yeah then you just get frustrated and
<<688>> that's what happened to children who
<<690>> don't have these breaks
<<691>> during the day exactly they are just
<<693>> like
<<694>> yeah you know just totally frustrated
<<696>> and the parents
<<698>> can't tell what they actually need but
<<700>> what they needed was the rest
<<702>> during the day exactly um
<<705>> yeah i mean for me like when i think of
<<707>> my family and my
<<708>> mindfulness for my children is really um
<<712>> yeah i try to incorporate that they
<<714>> learn
<<715>> just very simply basic is to listen to
<<718>> their body
<<718>> and also to understand themselves and
<<720>> have understanding for others who are
<<722>> maybe different from them
<<724>> um and because i have four boys it's
<<726>> very interesting to see because you
<<727>> think okay both the same parents and
<<729>> then you have
<<730>> four of the same gender but they are
<<732>> actually very very different people
<<734>> and through my children i've learned
<<736>> also that with the oils you really have
<<738>> to play around to see
<<740>> which oil is best for which child and
<<742>> it's not
<<743>> one oil is best for every child so what
<<746>> we do
<<746>> um every morning when they wake up
<<748>> everyone has a diffuser in their room so
<<751>> um when they wake up what i do is i
<<753>> don't i give them enough time first of
<<755>> all in the morning so they're not
<<756>> stressed out and they're not rushing
<<758>> through their day so i feel like
<<760>> starting off their day already in a more
<<761>> relaxed
<<762>> environment is um very important and
<<765>> they often have a couple of oils next to
<<767>> them and the oils that work for them
<<769>> for my youngest child i use a lot of the
<<771>> child's collection and for the other
<<773>> ones they have some oils that they
<<774>> already like
<<775>> and i have them smell them and then
<<777>> whatever they feel
<<778>> is the oil that's really calling them is
<<780>> the oil that they'll take a drop in
<<782>> their hand and rub them together
<<784>> and just take a half a minute to breathe
<<786>> it in through their hands
<<787>> so this is kind of like how we gently
<<790>> start off the day
<<791>> and so they've centered themselves
<<793>> they're not coming out of bed rushing
<<795>> um and then i give them really their
<<797>> time and say listen you have an hour
<<799>> come down whenever you're ready and
<<801>> we're downstairs in the living room so
<<804>> i go downstairs when i wake up and i put
<<806>> on the diffuser
<<807>> and i usually have a citrus oil in there
<<809>> in the morning to uplift the environment
<<812>> and when we need a little bit more
<<813>> energy then i might do a citrus oil and
<<814>> peppermint
<<815>> um they all come down and we always
<<818>> drink all of us a big
<<819>> glass of citrus oil water to hydrate
<<822>> from the night of not um drinking
<<823>> anything
<<824>> and then they have a healthy breakfast
<<826>> and we just kind of do it with more ease
<<829>> before they go off to school we also
<<831>> often talk about if there's any oils
<<832>> they want to bring with them at school
<<834>> if there's an exam coming up they might
<<835>> bring thinker with them
<<837>> um or if i notice one of the kids is you
<<840>> know a little bit on edge then i might
<<843>> rub some oils under their feet for
<<845>> example
<<845>> study from the kids collection or calmer
<<848>> just to make them a little bit more
<<850>> grounded or even balanced
<<852>> um then they go off to school and they
<<854>> have their day
<<855>> and after school when they come home for
<<857>> their snack we always
<<859>> all sit together at the table and talk
<<861>> about a highlight of our day what we are
<<863>> thankful for
<<865>> and also um what we did that might have
<<868>> made someone else happy
<<869>> so so i want them to really bring their
<<871>> focus on
<<872>> how are you being with other people
<<876>> um and this is for me a type of
<<879>> meditation where they really sit there
<<880>> and think about
<<881>> what is important to them and what have
<<883>> they done to help other people
<<885>> um and i always often ask them they get
<<887>> turns because everything has to be fair
<<889>> with children
<<890>> and i'll ask them okay what should we
<<892>> put in the diffuser this afternoon and
<<893>> so they each get a turn and then they'll
<<895>> decide okay
<<896>> today i feel like doing this or if you
<<898>> see somebody's getting a little bit of a
<<899>> cold maybe we'll put on guard also in
<<901>> the diffuser
<<902>> um and so then it starts off also the
<<904>> afternoon a little bit
<<906>> calmer before they go on to their next
<<908>> activities and reset their system
<<910>> and be just more mindful into going into
<<912>> the next activity
<<914>> and then comes dinner and um yeah i mean
<<917>> with dinner we also always take time to
<<920>> see what's on our plate and also really
<<921>> be thankful for what's there
<<923>> because um i mean half of my family is
<<926>> vegan and the other half still eat some
<<928>> meat
<<928>> which is for me also okay because i feel
<<930>> like every person is different and you
<<932>> also have to listen to your body but you
<<934>> have to also be
<<935>> present and mindful of what you're
<<936>> eating and maybe also thankful even to
<<938>> the plants that are on your plate um
<<940>> and i feel like by bringing these little
<<942>> tiny things in their lives that they're
<<945>> just more aware of their environment and
<<947>> about how they affect and how their
<<949>> decisions also affect
<<950>> um the collective i could say um
<<954>> and then at dinner time we also discuss
<<956>> about any things that might have
<<957>> happened throughout the day
<<959>> that they feel like they need help with
<<961>> or
<<962>> um something that may be with their
<<963>> brothers would have bothered them so
<<965>> they can share and discuss that together
<<967>> and that we find a solution together and
<<969>> of course there's moments where there's
<<971>> fighting or somebody getting hurt and i
<<973>> also then
<<974>> reach for the oils because often when
<<976>> they are hurt
<<977>> it's more the emotions coming out and
<<979>> it's more that they need to first
<<981>> calm their emotions so i always um
<<984>> before no matter what injury happens i
<<986>> always reach for calmer
<<987>> and i always rub it behind their ears
<<989>> and behind their neck
<<990>> and even in their hands so they can
<<992>> first breathe it in and then we
<<994>> go to the problem of the injury or
<<996>> whatever it is emotionally
<<997>> um so calmer is a big a big oil in our
<<1001>> daily life
<<1001>> um and of course i mean i don't know if
<<1004>> you want to go through the the kids set
<<1006>> now um just well you are you are halfway
<<1010>> through the kids collection
<<1011>> that's sorry that's beautiful yeah i
<<1014>> mean i can also just
<<1016>> finish up my day so basically then comes
<<1018>> the dinner and then
<<1019>> in the evening um we always have the
<<1021>> same routine everyone showers or takes a
<<1023>> bath often all four of them go in the
<<1024>> bath together
<<1026>> even though there's still a big age
<<1027>> difference they're very close
<<1029>> um and afterwards we do the same thing
<<1031>> with the diffuser we look and everyone
<<1032>> has a diffuser in the room and
<<1034>> depending on what's going on and
<<1036>> depending on what they need then we
<<1038>> make a beautiful mix in the diffuser and
<<1041>> i really notice that when they have a
<<1042>> diffuser next to their bed
<<1044>> they fall asleep just so much faster and
<<1047>> sleep
<<1047>> way deeper um one of my children
<<1050>> which i really wanted to share with you
<<1052>> is because obviously the typical
<<1054>> diffuser in the evening you might think
<<1056>> is lavender or air
<<1057>> to help them breathe um but my one child
<<1060>> has a lot of
<<1061>> security issues and he had many years
<<1064>> where he needed us to hold his hand
<<1066>> almost for an hour until he fell asleep
<<1068>> which was also
<<1069>> very exhausting for us until i found um
<<1071>> siberian fur
<<1073>> this is an oil that's maybe not typical
<<1075>> for children but
<<1076>> it's something that really really gives
<<1079>> security it's
<<1080>> very grounding and this is really my son
<<1083>> sami's oil and we always put it in his
<<1085>> diffuser now actually i've adapted it
<<1087>> also in my
<<1088>> diffuser routine and it really helps him
<<1091>> completely feel secure and taken care of
<<1093>> and really
<<1095>> yeah protected so that's kind of my
<<1097>> routine what i do with the kids
<<1100>> um yeah thank you i hope a lot of
<<1103>> parents watch this because it's really
<<1105>> nice
<<1106>> yeah thank you yeah i think it's just
<<1109>> it's for me it's i mean it's definitely
<<1111>> a passion of mine to be a mother
<<1113>> um it's definitely one of my
<<1116>> probably my priority before everything
<<1118>> else i mean i have been a mother now for
<<1121>> 11 years and it's just amazing to see
<<1124>> how kids are sponges and they're so open
<<1127>> for everything
<<1128>> and the what you can introduce anything
<<1130>> in your children's lives and they will
<<1132>> be open
<<1133>> and that's why i think the younger you
<<1134>> start the better it is because they're
<<1137>> just going to just adapt this into their
<<1138>> daily lives and go out and be better
<<1140>> people
<<1141>> into the world and maybe we can as a
<<1143>> collective get to where we want to be
<<1145>> into a more caring environment
<<1147>> and a less um more reflective
<<1150>> environment
<<1151>> um because i think we all just need to
<<1153>> take a little bit more time to reflect
<<1154>> what do we need what do others need
<<1156>> how does this person feel um and this is
<<1159>> all part of
<<1160>> i think a mindful childhood um yeah
<<1163>> yeah and also the importance of
<<1166>> self-care and self-love
<<1168>> yes i think if we if we have that it's
<<1172>> easier to be good to other people and
<<1174>> you also talk about
<<1175>> the importance of being good to someone
<<1177>> else
<<1178>> exactly it's funny that you say that
<<1180>> because my friend just told me that she
<<1182>> asked her son
<<1183>> who who is one of the who do you love
<<1185>> the most in the world and he said his
<<1187>> mom
<<1187>> his dad and he mentioned some of his
<<1190>> friends and he said oh yeah and of
<<1191>> course myself
<<1193>> you know and i thought that was so
<<1195>> beautiful yeah
<<1197>> because we need to love ourselves you
<<1199>> know absolutely
<<1200>> yeah so it's really it's just and this
<<1203>> boy is three
<<1204>> you know three years old three years old
<<1206>> yeah so i think sometimes we
<<1208>> sell our our children short because we
<<1210>> think oh they're just children but no
<<1212>> they actually are
<<1213>> quite wise you know and we can learn a
<<1215>> lot from them
<<1216>> yeah so when all the children when they
<<1219>> learn to talk
<<1221>> they can say i love me then we have come
<<1224>> really fast
<<1225>> yeah exactly yeah that's good
<<1228>> wow okay so i really want to try this
<<1232>> very far with my boys because they uh
<<1235>> the oldest is 11
<<1236>> and the youngest is seven now but they
<<1238>> really
<<1239>> they have to sleep in the same bed and
<<1242>> they really want me to stay there until
<<1244>> they sleep
<<1245>> yeah so i think siberian fur would be a
<<1247>> good choice for them to feel
<<1249>> safe even though i'm not there exactly
<<1253>> yeah definitely try it i'm anxious to
<<1255>> hear how it goes
<<1257>> so kim do you want me to share some of
<<1260>> the other
<<1260>> oils to the kids collection yeah that
<<1263>> would be great so you talked about
<<1265>> already the
<<1266>> i have it here i put
<<1269>> it's a little messy but here's the kids
<<1273>> collection and i put some other oils
<<1274>> that i would recommend
<<1277>> on the other side of the bag because the
<<1279>> hips collection comes in this
<<1281>> nice bag they can put it in their
<<1285>> backpack yeah and you already mentioned
<<1288>> calmer
<<1290>> which i also use before bedtime with my
<<1294>> especially my voice day
<<1295>> like this we also tried peace for a long
<<1298>> time but then the kids collection came
<<1300>> and we had used peas for a long time but
<<1304>> then we
<<1306>> started to use karma instead so i think
<<1309>> this is a good oil for them to have a
<<1312>> good sleep
<<1313>> during the night and actually the
<<1316>> steady oil plant from kids collection
<<1320>> is a more grounding plant which also is
<<1323>> a good idea before sleep
<<1325>> yeah that's true so either if you go out
<<1328>> in the grass and
<<1330>> they're fit you can have some grounding
<<1333>> there and you can also
<<1335>> apply grounding oil from um
<<1338>> at the blend from kids collection so
<<1341>> also if they are kind of
<<1343>> hyper or you know really high up
<<1347>> steady would be a good choice to to
<<1350>> calm down and be more grounded
<<1354>> and there is also oil band called brave
<<1357>> and if you don't have the kids
<<1359>> collection you might notice that there
<<1361>> is these
<<1362>> little do you have this skin on your
<<1364>> yeah
<<1365>> yeah i do that's why they can hang them
<<1366>> on their school bag yeah
<<1368>> yeah yeah it's easy to do yeah
<<1372>> i realized that if i put it on the
<<1374>> bottom if they stay
<<1376>> they stay uh they see better better yeah
<<1379>> yeah yeah you're right so we also have
<<1382>> grave
<<1383>> and we use this when children are going
<<1386>> to
<<1387>> like now my oldest daughter she started
<<1389>> at a new school
<<1391>> and i told her that brave would be a
<<1393>> good idea to bring to her first
<<1395>> day at school so she did and
<<1398>> she is actually really brave anyway but
<<1403>> and then there is stronger which is kind
<<1406>> of
<<1406>> uh have the same benefits like on guard
<<1411>> so but the point with the kids
<<1414>> collection
<<1414>> is that all of these oils are they have
<<1417>> like a milder smell
<<1419>> yeah so because sun god could be a
<<1422>> little bit strong for some children
<<1423>> my children like on god but for some
<<1426>> it's too
<<1427>> strong or intense so stronger
<<1430>> is like a mind mind version of on god
<<1434>> but we actually used it together with on
<<1436>> god so
<<1437>> it was a tip by god so i applied both on
<<1440>> god
<<1441>> and um stronger on the spine of the
<<1445>> children
<<1446>> so and you also mentioned thinker kim
<<1449>> yes so this is the focus blend from kids
<<1451>> collection
<<1452>> and uh so especially my older son he has
<<1456>> some he has this challenge of
<<1458>> concentrating at school so i all
<<1461>> every day i put this in his neck
<<1465>> and i put it in her hand so he can also
<<1467>> smell the oil
<<1469>> yeah i think it's important to to smell
<<1472>> the oils
<<1473>> as well as applying them
<<1476>> yeah yeah definitely a good combination
<<1479>> but i find
<<1480>> all of the kids collection smells really
<<1482>> nice and really mild
<<1484>> and i actually use it a lot on myself me
<<1486>> too
<<1487>> so and we all have this little
<<1490>> child inside of us so we have to nurture
<<1493>> that as well
<<1494>> yeah so so maybe we could have like an
<<1496>> intention that now i nurture my inner
<<1498>> child
<<1503>> so um but i have some other oils as well
<<1507>> the side of the kids collection that i
<<1509>> would just like to mention
<<1510>> and that is uh in the morning
<<1513>> you talked about you put the fuser on in
<<1516>> your boy's room and that is really
<<1518>> beautiful
<<1519>> and what i do i i go into my boys
<<1522>> especially boys because they have their
<<1523>> bedroom next to mine
<<1525>> okay and they really love to sleep
<<1529>> so i actually put balance on their
<<1532>> ears and i put it in my hand and i just
<<1535>> say breathe and they breathe in
<<1537>> and it's like that's beautiful
<<1541>> yeah and they open their eyes and are
<<1544>> ready to
<<1545>> to wake up no wonder they want to sleep
<<1547>> with you
<<1549>> you're such a nice mom thank you
<<1552>> i think that is what i want to share you
<<1555>> already mentioned seafood's point so
<<1558>> so this is also a favorite in my house
<<1561>> and my oldest
<<1563>> child my daughter she has her own oil
<<1565>> collection
<<1566>> and actually most of the oils in her
<<1569>> room
<<1570>> is ticus oil okay she's really into this
<<1573>> uplifting uh feeling of the speaker's
<<1577>> voice
<<1578>> so even though she's a really happy
<<1581>> positive
<<1582>> and funny child she loves this uh
<<1586>> this uplifting feeling of secret yeah
<<1589>> that's what i think is great is children
<<1590>> actually know what they need
<<1592>> you know i think that when they smell it
<<1594>> and they're drawn towards it this is
<<1596>> something that they
<<1597>> might need for you know um for us i just
<<1600>> wanted to quickly mention
<<1601>> and then of course there's deep blue
<<1602>> which is a little bit stronger but
<<1604>> my older children when it comes to
<<1606>> anything muscular um when they have
<<1608>> any type of yeah really sore muscles
<<1611>> from all the sports
<<1612>> they do then they love this um so we
<<1614>> often do a massage with it and what's
<<1615>> nice about the oils
<<1616>> is it's also a way to connect with your
<<1618>> children i feel like
<<1620>> it's uh it brings really a moment of
<<1622>> peace brings them down
<<1624>> connects you through massage or just
<<1626>> breathing together and
<<1628>> already this connection um really is
<<1631>> a big step in the right direction i
<<1633>> think with your children
<<1635>> yeah um and the oils really just help
<<1637>> you
<<1638>> regularly connect with your kids whether
<<1640>> it's a foot massage rubbing the oils
<<1642>> under the feet or on the spine
<<1644>> or just breathing in together i think
<<1646>> that um
<<1647>> this is really the goal for me with the
<<1649>> oils and the children
<<1650>> um that we have a deeper connections i
<<1654>> mean that's what i'm looking for i'm
<<1655>> looking for
<<1656>> in my life deeper connections with my
<<1658>> children and with the people around me
<<1660>> um and i really can thank doterra to
<<1662>> help me
<<1664>> achieve that in a much smaller way
<<1667>> yeah also helps the children to be more
<<1669>> aware of their self and their bodies
<<1672>> yeah and that is also so beautiful yeah
<<1675>> yeah so thanks to doterra yeah
<<1680>> well i think i do have anything else to
<<1682>> to add to
<<1683>> to our talk actually i think we uh
<<1686>> managed to
<<1687>> we mentioned a lot of good stuff that i
<<1690>> hope that
<<1691>> those are watching would like to
<<1694>> try out with their children so why i
<<1697>> maybe i should just sum it up with the
<<1699>> five tips that i wrote down
<<1702>> yes and uh number one is that you could
<<1705>> do
<<1705>> a good stretch in the morning before or
<<1707>> after going out of bed and
<<1710>> you could have oils in the diffuser or
<<1713>> you could also apply
<<1714>> balance to ears or bottom of the feet
<<1718>> to ground before you start the day
<<1721>> and for breakfast you could have seafood
<<1723>> oils in your water
<<1725>> and also you could have this oil ritual
<<1728>> where the children can choose their oil
<<1730>> for the day and also
<<1732>> take with them to school or kindergarten
<<1736>> and maybe at lunchtime or after lunch
<<1739>> you would do a little meditation or
<<1740>> mindfulness practice
<<1742>> and you could do it with them like i
<<1744>> talked with the visualization
<<1747>> or just like in a journey and use the
<<1749>> oils to help them breathe slowly and
<<1752>> deeply
<<1754>> and then number five would be before
<<1757>> bedtime
<<1758>> maybe i have like my children like to be
<<1761>> an activity
<<1762>> all the way to the bedtime so maybe do a
<<1764>> little stretching or dancing
<<1766>> music or little some yoga exercises
<<1771>> uh together with the oils before bedtime
<<1775>> and you could also apply orange to their
<<1778>> spine to bottom of the feet
<<1780>> and use these good oils that we
<<1782>> mentioned to have a good
<<1785>> sleep during the night and you also
<<1787>> mentioned that
<<1788>> the benefits of doing this have a good
<<1791>> connection to
<<1792>> our children and you could of course put
<<1795>> oints in the diffuser while when they
<<1799>> are going to bed to have like a
<<1803>> a good time before falling asleep
<<1806>> and you mention also the uh talking
<<1809>> about what we are thankful for
<<1811>> and that could also be a great idea to
<<1813>> before they fall asleep
<<1815>> and that then that would be the last
<<1818>> thing they think about before they
<<1820>> yeah i think that's very um that's a
<<1823>> very good idea
<<1824>> because the last thoughts the last
<<1825>> things that are um in your brain then
<<1827>> they follow you
<<1828>> yeah the whole night so yeah very good
<<1832>> yeah so then i think we have to
<<1836>> uh say goodbye say goodbye it was really
<<1839>> nice to
<<1840>> talk thank you very nice to talk to you
<<1843>> too
<<1844>> and i hope you all would like to try
<<1846>> some of our tips
<<1847>> to incorporate mindfulness yoga and eyes
<<1851>> with your children
