<<0>> Hi and welcome to dou the official
<<2>> podcast of do Europe. Here you'll hear
<<5>> from worldclass speakers and experts
<<8>> sharing education, inspiration and
<<10>> practical tips to help you live your
<<12>> best daughter life. I'm Luda Bulcato
<<15>> product education manager for Doora
<<16>> Europe and I'm excited to be your host
<<19>> today. I'm joined by Lindsay and Daniel
<<21>> Plantin and honestly where do we even
<<23>> begin with these two? They are the
<<25>> perfect example of what we call the
<<27>> doera magic living authentically.
<<29>> creating freedom on their own terms and
<<31>> inspiring others with the honesty and
<<33>> raw heart-to-he heart conversations.
<<36>> They truly show what's possible when
<<38>> wellness, business, and personal growth
<<40>> come together.
<<43>> >> Lindsay Daniel, welcome to the Terrau.
<<45>> It's so exciting to have you guys here
<<47>> with me. So, thank you for joining.
<<49>> >> Thanks for having us.
<<50>> >> How you feeling?
<<52>> >> Yeah, a little a little nervous about
<<54>> what you're going to ask, but I'm ready.
<<57>> No, it'll be I'll do my best to put you
<<59>> at ease. Uh I'll be I'll be good with
<<62>> you guys.
<<64>> >> Some of our viewers might not know you.
<<66>> So, would you mind taking us back uh
<<68>> down memory lane and just tell us how
<<71>> the your do journey started, please?
<<74>> >> I think this one's definitely definitely
<<76>> for you, babe.
<<77>> >> Yeah. Um well, we first started I was
<<80>> heavily pregnant and we just had um a
<<83>> trip. We've been traveling for a few
<<85>> months with our one and a half year old
<<87>> and I was pregnant and then my health
<<90>> had gone a little bit downhill. My
<<91>> pelvis was beginning to degrade. Um and
<<94>> so then one of my best friends, Rebecca
<<96>> BS, who you may know, um came and said,
<<99>> "Oh, she I've discovered these amazing
<<100>> oils and they've been doing this, this,
<<102>> this, and telling me all these amazing
<<103>> things they've been doing and I'm going
<<104>> to do this as a business. Do you want to
<<106>> do it with me?" And I literally looked
<<107>> at her and I was like, "No, I just want
<<110>> to walk properly. That would be all I
<<112>> would like right now." Um, and so that's
<<114>> kind of the beginning where so she gave
<<116>> me a few oils, which we now know was
<<119>> sampling. Um, so she gave me a few oils
<<121>> and we started using them on our son who
<<123>> had kind of gut issues and things. Um,
<<125>> and then she then calls back a few weeks
<<127>> later and she's like, "I'd really like
<<128>> to um give you some oils and I just need
<<131>> to you just need to pay for your
<<132>> account."
<<133>> >> And I was like, "That's the catch. This
<<135>> is this is the catch. this is an M. And
<<137>> so um we're discussing and she said I'd
<<140>> really like to have you as one of our
<<141>> like partners I work with.
<<143>> >> Um which now I looking back I'm like
<<146>> gosh that's the biggest compliment she
<<148>> could have ever given me. She was so
<<149>> adamant she wanted to work with me. Um
<<152>> which is really really lovely. And then
<<154>> Daniel says to me he's like well the big
<<156>> the worst question for someone who
<<158>> suffers from FOMO. She says well how how
<<159>> would you feel if Beex is traveling all
<<162>> over the world and she's really
<<163>> successful with Doera? um and you
<<165>> decided not to do it with her.
<<168>> >> I'm like, well, that would be rubbish.
<<171>> >> Yeah.
<<172>> >> And just fast forward a few years and
<<174>> that's exactly what we were doing. And
<<176>> literally it's been 10 years well 11
<<178>> years, but
<<179>> >> for 10 years we've been traveling all
<<181>> over the well all over the world
<<183>> together. Um and I love that all of our
<<185>> business trips I get to hang out with
<<186>> one of my best friends.
<<188>> >> Amazing.
<<188>> >> And now we get to we get to do it
<<190>> together because we're all hanging out
<<191>> with her husband. So we all just hang
<<193>> out together. Um, and so it's kind of
<<195>> come true. We literally what Daniel
<<197>> predicted um is exactly what happened.
<<199>> And that's how and it was solving a
<<201>> problem for I think this is one of the
<<203>> biggest things with Doera is that we get
<<205>> to solve someone's problem and then
<<206>> invite them to solve it themselves. And
<<208>> that's what she did. She kind of gave me
<<210>> a taster of some of the problems it
<<211>> could solve.
<<212>> >> Um, and then
<<214>> >> invited me to do a bit more. Um, and
<<216>> actually that point that was when my
<<218>> pelvis really went downhill and so it
<<220>> was a lot of health struggles at the
<<222>> time. And so Doera kind of became
<<225>> something I could be good at even when I
<<226>> felt like I was rubbish at
<<228>> >> everything else. Like, you know, I
<<230>> wasn't the mom I wanted to be. I wasn't
<<232>> the wife I wanted to be or the sister or
<<234>> anyone, but I could I could teach a
<<236>> class. You know, I had to sit to teach
<<237>> the class, but I could teach a class and
<<240>> I could bring oils to other people. And
<<241>> that was that was really lovely. So,
<<243>> that was kind of the beginning of the
<<244>> journey.
<<245>> >> I still thought like this was
<<248>> >> 2014. So I always know when we started
<<250>> cuz it was like 3 days before our
<<252>> daughter was born.
<<255>> >> So that was where we began. Um and
<<257>> Daniel's like if this is what you like
<<259>> to do with your spare time as your hobby
<<261>> then that's fine by me. That was
<<263>> Daniel's approach.
<<265>> >> Um so that's how it began was my hobby.
<<268>> >> Yeah.
<<269>> >> And when when have you joined Daniel?
<<271>> >> So I
<<274>> Yeah. Still have I the Lindsay is
<<277>> absolutely right. I think my thing was I
<<279>> realized at the time Lindsay's m she
<<281>> wants to be the best mom that she can be
<<283>> and you are. I know you don't believe it
<<285>> but you are. Um but that's the main
<<287>> thing for Lindsay. And so I was worried
<<289>> because time was so short that any time
<<292>> that she would have for herself whether
<<294>> she'd go out with her sisters or friends
<<296>> or go dancing stuff like that she was
<<298>> now going to use that to share the oils.
<<301>> And I was kind of nervous about that. So
<<303>> that's why I was like, if this is what
<<304>> you want to do with the small amounts of
<<306>> time that you still have left over, then
<<307>> it's on you. But but so at first I was
<<310>> like, this is something dodgy. What is
<<312>> going on here? These oils, this weird
<<315>> pyramid scheme, snake oils. But you go
<<318>> for it. Whatever. It's all good. Um, but
<<321>> certainly, I'll be honest, it was when
<<323>> some money started coming in. And I
<<325>> think the first time I was like, you're
<<326>> spending way too much money on these
<<328>> oils. We don't need all of this. And you
<<329>> were like, "Well, actually, check this
<<332>> out." And I'm like, "Whoa, what is going
<<335>> on here? Free." And I'm like, "I can't
<<338>> say anything now." And I, which was
<<340>> frustrating, but but then I I do
<<342>> remember it was I was at a crossroads. I
<<344>> was actually going to start up a smart
<<346>> home company is what I was going to do.
<<347>> And then Lindsay said, "Well, why don't
<<349>> you try and do this for kind of six
<<351>> months and let's see how how you get
<<353>> on." Uh, six months has turned into
<<355>> pretty much eight years now. And uh
<<357>> yeah, how my trial I'm still on trial
<<360>> now.
<<361>> >> We'll see after the podcast review at
<<363>> the end of the podcast.
<<366>> >> We didn't plan this by the way. It's
<<367>> just like
<<369>> >> it's funny and I think one of the things
<<371>> that I really like seeing is that and
<<373>> Daniel's definitely been an example of
<<375>> this is that the moment that Daniel
<<377>> really stepped into it. I was heavily
<<379>> pregnant with our third child and I'd
<<381>> been doing fairs and then teaching a
<<383>> workshop and fairs and teaching workshop
<<385>> and there was a fair and I just said
<<386>> like I just I just not I'm not standing
<<388>> all day. I was eight months pregnant.
<<391>> I'm just not doing it. So either you go
<<392>> and do the fair or no one will be at the
<<395>> fair.
<<396>> >> Um and Daniel was like
<<398>> I don't want to do I don't know enough
<<400>> about oils. Um and I was like well
<<403>> you'll be fine. Just go. And literally
<<405>> 20 minutes later, like 20 minutes after
<<407>> the beginning of the of this fair, I get
<<409>> a message going,
<<411>> >> I sold a home essentials kit.
<<415>> >> Literally, first lady came up to me and
<<417>> it actually turned out a customer.
<<420>> >> Yeah. Yeah.
<<420>> >> And even what was worse is she then
<<422>> said, "I would have bought your biggest
<<423>> kit."
<<424>> >> Yeah. You still She still needs to buy
<<426>> that. Actually, I need to call her. I'll
<<428>> follow that up.
<<429>> >> Come on, Emma.
<<430>> >> Okay. We'll create a special kit for
<<432>> these ladies.
<<434>> And I think that's one of the things I
<<436>> like is that people often don't believe
<<438>> what they're capable of. And so Doera
<<441>> can really kind of push you to the
<<442>> limits of your comfort zone and make you
<<445>> step into something a little bit more.
<<447>> >> And it's so it's so beautiful to see
<<450>> that over and over again like to see it
<<453>> for Daniel but to see it for our team
<<454>> and um you know each of us are kind of
<<457>> each time stretching our comfort zone to
<<460>> do something better. And
<<461>> >> and I love that. That's one of the best
<<463>> parts about it.
<<464>> >> And have you kind of like become
<<466>> different people along the journey?
<<469>> >> Like have you evolved? Have you changed?
<<471>> >> Definitely. I mean it's been 10 years. I
<<473>> hope we have 11 years. So um I think
<<475>> we've had we've changed in terms of well
<<478>> >> we started with a little toddler and now
<<480>> we have a teenager and a pre-teen
<<483>> >> girl. That definitely changes you.
<<487>> >> Um so there's that side of it that we
<<489>> have to kind of evolve with our our
<<490>> family. But as leaders, yeah, I think
<<494>> there there's um I think imposter
<<496>> syndrome comes in still. There's
<<497>> definitely always that like
<<499>> >> why why would you be here on this
<<500>> podcast? Who are you to be speaking to
<<502>> other people? Um but I think kind of
<<504>> recognizing
<<506>> some of your strengths a little bit more
<<508>> and kind of
<<509>> >> feeling like, oh, you know, I actually
<<512>> do have something quite special and
<<513>> people do want to listen to me. I'm like
<<516>> and it really really makes me feel like
<<519>> makes me cry often when people are
<<521>> really like
<<522>> >> just when we when we reached Blue
<<523>> Diamond and then we got so many lovely
<<525>> videos and messages and actually I
<<527>> thought oh they're really genuinely
<<528>> happy for us and that really that really
<<531>> touched me like just so much love and
<<534>> happiness for the people around you. So
<<536>> I think
<<537>> >> it helps you to grow into a more
<<540>> >> confident version I think of yourself.
<<543>> So it will enhance whatever you already
<<546>> have there, I would say. So if you're
<<548>> someone who wants to be kind, then make
<<551>> even kinder. Yeah.
<<552>> >> You know, that's what I think.
<<554>> >> That's nice.
<<557>> >> I can't add anything to that.
<<559>> >> What am I supposed to do after that? So
<<562>> cute. You bring out the big guns all
<<563>> emotion. I'm like,
<<566>> >> that's really lovely. That's really
<<569>> melt in there. No, there's nothing.
<<571>> What? I'm just ruining it.
<<573>> That's too good. There's nothing more I
<<574>> can add to that.
<<576>> >> No, you dropped the mic if you could if
<<578>> it wasn't on one of these. So, yeah.
<<581>> >> But I know the terra can stretch, you
<<583>> know, your boundaries and your limit and
<<584>> push you like close to your limit. So,
<<586>> has there ever been a moment where you
<<588>> felt like you were reaching your limit
<<589>> and you kind of almost walked away from
<<592>> doera? And if so, are you comfortable to
<<594>> share?
<<595>> >> Yeah, I think I think we should. I think
<<597>> it's easy and this is one of the things
<<598>> about social media. I think it's a big
<<600>> thing. It's like we always a lot of
<<602>> people project like this life and I
<<604>> think it's so challenging for us as
<<607>> parents, individuals, anybody like you
<<609>> know you have these guys. I I split my
<<611>> day in two. I actually have two days a
<<614>> day. I I'm up from this time to this
<<616>> time and I've been to the gym and I've
<<617>> done this and I've put my I've done my
<<619>> ice face bath and I've done this. You
<<621>> you know who I'm talking about. There's
<<623>> all all of this stuff. There's so much
<<624>> pressure. So I think it is important to
<<626>> say yeah we've had many of those
<<628>> conversations. Is this the right thing?
<<631>> Is this the right direction of travel
<<632>> for us, our family? Um, can we do this?
<<636>> Do we want to do it? And I think really
<<638>> for me now, my my key things when I
<<640>> speak to people who are doing the
<<641>> business with us is what is it that you
<<644>> actually want? Because I often hear
<<646>> people say, "Oh, I'd like to be diamond.
<<648>> I'd like to be blue diamond." But what
<<650>> does that actually look like when you
<<652>> reach that? What will it enable you to
<<654>> do? And I think we need to sometimes
<<656>> drill down on that because it's all very
<<658>> well saying, I want to change the world
<<660>> one drop at a time. But what does that
<<662>> actually look like? What does it mean? I
<<664>> know for Lindsay, for example, one of
<<665>> the things is, you know, her mom lives
<<668>> in France and and wants to do lots of
<<670>> things in the land there. And then
<<671>> you're very keen about helping lots of
<<673>> people. For me, uh certainly one of the
<<677>> things that I love is seeing people
<<679>> whose lives have changed. Like for
<<680>> example, we've got a lady in our team,
<<682>> Lisa. she was a driving instructor. Um,
<<685>> and now she's no longer a driving
<<686>> instructor. She's able to do DotTerra.
<<688>> And then another lady, Rachel, she had a
<<690>> franchise. She's no longer having to do
<<692>> that. She can focus on Doera. And I find
<<694>> that really inspiring. However, it is
<<697>> hard. And I know it's cheesy. They say
<<699>> it's called network marketing because
<<701>> you the work part's really key. Um, but
<<704>> we've never done anything like this
<<705>> before. So, we are not professional
<<708>> direct sellers. We're just a guy and a
<<710>> girl who love oils, love doera, and
<<714>> we're like telling everybody about it
<<715>> and come along with us. We'll have fun.
<<718>> Lots of laughter along the way as you
<<719>> well know. Um, so yeah, we have had
<<722>> those discussions and I think it's
<<724>> important to kind of go back over,
<<728>> analyze where you're at, where you want
<<729>> to go, and most importantly, is doterra
<<733>> the vehicle that can get you there? Um,
<<735>> we firmly believe it is. So every time
<<737>> we have these conversations, we're like,
<<739>> "Yeah, this is this is the right place."
<<741>> >> I think also the the way you do it will
<<744>> has evolved. Um yeah, the way we've done
<<747>> it since the beginning. So when we had I
<<749>> remember the month we reached diamond
<<751>> and we got to the other month and I I
<<753>> taught something ridiculous like 20
<<755>> classes that month. Um and we had Luke
<<758>> was tiny. So every class I taught he was
<<760>> with me. He was teaching too. One of the
<<762>> things I loved about Doera is that even
<<764>> when we were, you know, I was doing
<<766>> Doerra, I was still mommy and I loved
<<768>> that. I love that he never had to
<<771>> >> I never had to sacrifice that. So, he's
<<772>> traveled all over the world uh with me.
<<775>> So, it was always my class bag, my toy
<<778>> bag or like whatever he needed to come
<<780>> with me and um and it was brilliant and
<<782>> so I loved that. But I remember at the
<<783>> end of that diamond month I was
<<786>> absolutely on my knees and then and then
<<788>> the month doesn't end and then everyone
<<790>> leaves you alone. the month ends and
<<792>> then it continues. And at that point, I
<<794>> was like, "Oh my gosh, I'm out." And I
<<796>> literally took the kids and went to my
<<798>> dad's like, "You can figure the rest out
<<800>> because I was so
<<802>> >> um and so I wasn't walking away from Do
<<804>> I just needed to kind of protect myself
<<807>> a little bit?" And so that was
<<808>> something. And what was the massive
<<810>> contrast was with when we reached Blue
<<812>> Diamond, we had um our niec's wedding
<<816>> during that month. And so I'd had four
<<818>> days out like decorating the hall and
<<821>> >> whatever needed to be done for that. And
<<823>> so I'd protected that time um because I
<<825>> knew that was happening and I kne we
<<827>> knew that that was when we were reaching
<<828>> it. And so it wasn't I got to the end of
<<829>> the month and when we thought
<<831>> >> well
<<832>> >> we did it. I'm not on my knees. I can
<<834>> still carry on. I didn't feel like I
<<836>> needed to run away from everyone.
<<838>> >> Um and so
<<839>> >> we have had those moments where we've
<<841>> questioned it and evaluated it. we've
<<843>> also had learning opportunities to
<<845>> change the way we're doing it so that it
<<847>> doesn't totally break us along the way.
<<850>> >> Um, so but I think that question is
<<852>> really important to ask ourselves all
<<854>> the time and also sometimes we've asked
<<856>> people like well do you want to stop
<<858>> actually Beex asked me that question
<<860>> because I always have that no she asks
<<862>> me that question. I think it was years
<<863>> ago, maybe two years in.
<<866>> >> To be fair, we have this conversation on
<<867>> rotation like, "Oh, I'm not spending too
<<870>> much time away from the children." Like
<<872>> children. Yeah, exactly. As Dan has
<<874>> mentioned, it's always for me, it's
<<876>> always like, "Am I there for the
<<878>> children enough and like that's always
<<880>> my priority and there's definitely
<<882>> cycles where I feel like I am and others
<<884>> where I feel like I've kind of need to
<<885>> claw some time back." And so Beex has
<<887>> said to me, well, you know, do you want
<<889>> to stop? Because there's totally a way
<<890>> out if you want to stop. and we're we're
<<893>> one of their frontline leaders. And I
<<895>> remember thinking like, no, I don't want
<<897>> to stop.
<<899>> >> Um, but I think I think it's really
<<901>> important that there's always
<<904>> you never you're never held to ransom.
<<905>> There's no contract to say that you have
<<907>> to do terror forever,
<<909>> >> which is kind of a blessing and a curse.
<<911>> Um, but I think it means that we're
<<913>> choosing like maybe not every day
<<916>> because we're not making the decision
<<917>> every day, but you know, every month,
<<918>> every year, we're choosing that Doerra
<<920>> is the way that we're going to support
<<921>> our family. And
<<922>> >> um, I think that's really powerful.
<<925>> >> Choosing.
<<925>> >> Yeah. We're choosing it. Yeah.
<<927>> >> And that because so many people are kind
<<929>> of going through things at work or, you
<<932>> know, at home and they're not really
<<934>> choosing. They're just kind of going
<<935>> through the motions.
<<936>> >> Oh my gosh, that feels like hell to me.
<<938>> I would hate to be in a job or in a
<<940>> place where
<<942>> >> it's just you just have to go through
<<943>> the motions
<<945>> >> and I think that would be torture and I
<<947>> and I'm so I' realized that that's a
<<950>> privilege that I've well I've never felt
<<952>> like that as a teacher. I didn't feel
<<953>> like that either but um I was a math and
<<956>> science teacher before.
<<957>> >> Total geek.
<<960>> Um but but I think it's it's to know
<<963>> that you're doing something worthwhile
<<964>> and that you are choosing to do that is
<<967>> I think is amazing
<<968>> >> and a real privilege.
<<969>> >> Yeah.
<<971>> >> So um we touched on a little bit about
<<974>> family and obviously you were together
<<975>> as a couple. How do you stay sane
<<979>> >> both when you're you know like a couple
<<982>> and when you're doing the business?
<<985>> I think Doerra is such a massive part of
<<988>> our life like it it's not really
<<991>> separate. Um I remember when Lindsay was
<<993>> a teacher and I I was uh had my job uh
<<996>> working in real estate that I felt very
<<999>> easy I could come in the front door and
<<1001>> and work stopped. Lindsay still brought
<<1004>> home work. Um, but for us certainly I
<<1008>> think like I' I I know I'm batting well
<<1011>> above my average when it comes to I I I
<<1013>> I've done well. I'm often told I've done
<<1016>> well. You've done well. Thank you.
<<1017>> >> Absolutely.
<<1019>> I've done well. Just just to clarify.
<<1022>> All right.
<<1022>> >> I'm agreeing my love.
<<1023>> >> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I totally got that.
<<1027>> >> But I think we're very honest with how
<<1029>> and and we don't always agree. But one
<<1032>> of the things that we've kind of leared
<<1033>> to do is and we did this quite a bit
<<1035>> where we would go when we would discuss
<<1037>> doera we would do in open spaces outside
<<1040>> which I think is pretty good but we are
<<1043>> we we both have our own ways we both
<<1045>> have our own um but I think normally
<<1048>> because our goal and purpose is the same
<<1050>> which is ultimately to serve and help
<<1052>> our team and help others and create a
<<1054>> real impact for them and and for us and
<<1056>> everyone we come into contact. think
<<1058>> that helps. We have that same goal and I
<<1062>> think yes, we might have different ways
<<1064>> of getting there, but I'm also very
<<1066>> clear on I know what Lindsay is really
<<1068>> good at and she knows what I'm really
<<1070>> good at cuz I think it's hard especially
<<1072>> for guys coming into what is very much a
<<1075>> female dominant. Yeah, that's cool. You
<<1078>> know, you got it right and I'll give you
<<1080>> that one. Um, so I I came in late and I
<<1084>> did try and reinvent the wheel, but
<<1086>> really that was quite a humbling
<<1088>> experience and maybe we'll touch on that
<<1090>> later, but but certainly for me um I did
<<1093>> the things in the beginning that you
<<1095>> didn't want to do like the back office
<<1097>> stuff, power three, but I really
<<1098>> actually enjoyed that and then I knew
<<1101>> that I was adding value. But a lot of
<<1103>> guys who come into these successful
<<1105>> businesses or even businesses that are
<<1107>> just starting out, it's their baby. It's
<<1109>> not not yours. So you you need to kind
<<1111>> of tread carefully and it's hard to find
<<1113>> that place and and this is one of the
<<1115>> great things about working with an
<<1117>> upline that really cares and gets you.
<<1119>> And it was Nathan who was like you need
<<1121>> to step into your light. You you you are
<<1124>> there on your own merit, not on Lindsay,
<<1127>> not on us, on on you. And and that
<<1130>> really changed things for me. And I
<<1131>> really wanted to find my place within
<<1133>> DoTerra. And I feel I've done that. I
<<1136>> feel like often we'll say like I don't
<<1139>> need Lindsay now to do D doer as a
<<1141>> business and Lindsay doesn't need me but
<<1144>> I sure as hell I want like I absolutely
<<1148>> like I'd be in so much trouble without
<<1150>> you
<<1150>> >> and you have the energy about you guys.
<<1152>> I mean, I love you. That's not me.
<<1155>> >> I think actually realized quite how much
<<1157>> Daniel did when we did Power Three and
<<1159>> Daniel was at Wrestlemania. Yes.
<<1161>> >> Not available.
<<1163>> >> And I did end of month and I was like,
<<1165>> "Oh my gosh." Like the pressure if
<<1167>> there's one thing wrong then the whole
<<1169>> thing. And then I was like, "Oh my
<<1171>> goodness." And I was so grateful when he
<<1172>> got back. He's like, "You can do end of
<<1174>> month now."
<<1176>> >> Um, so I think, yeah, being able to add
<<1178>> things to each other. And I love that
<<1180>> that's definitely one thing we instilled
<<1181>> as morning meetings were a walk
<<1183>> together. That was really good. And we
<<1185>> have separate offices. So we are
<<1187>> working, you know, we're working because
<<1189>> otherwise we can distract each other so
<<1190>> easily because
<<1192>> >> you'll ask for the other one's opinion
<<1193>> even if you don't really need it
<<1195>> >> because they're next to you.
<<1196>> >> Of course.
<<1197>> >> So if we're at the kitchen table
<<1198>> working, then the things are much slower
<<1200>> because we'll be like, "What do you
<<1202>> think of this?"
<<1203>> >> Just bouncing over.
<<1204>> >> Yeah. So we still do that. We just send
<<1206>> it.
<<1208>> Um so having some space and having and
<<1211>> the capacity to actually throw things
<<1213>> back and forth. I think one of the
<<1214>> things that works really well is that um
<<1218>> we'll mentor people slightly differently
<<1220>> and we know that sometimes people need
<<1223>> Daniel and sometimes they need me. And
<<1225>> so we used to be like you're mentoring
<<1226>> this person and you I'm mentoring these
<<1228>> people. So we had our little lists of
<<1229>> people that we were kind of responsible
<<1231>> for. Um, and now it's kind of blurred a
<<1233>> little bit because maybe they'll they'll
<<1235>> ask for a session with me or they'll ask
<<1237>> for a session with Daniel or maybe they
<<1239>> need more numbers or they won't even
<<1240>> ask. They'll just call Daniel or call
<<1242>> me.
<<1242>> >> Um, and it's been so good to see that
<<1245>> actually
<<1246>> >> they can get what they need from either
<<1248>> of us and it works and it's really good.
<<1250>> It's so good
<<1252>> >> to be able to combine the two together.
<<1254>> >> And that would have been my next
<<1255>> question. Have you ever disagreed on how
<<1257>> you lead the team?
<<1258>> So,
<<1260>> how did you manage to stay aligned
<<1261>> during conflict? Maybe
<<1264>> >> I don't think we ever had a conflict
<<1265>> about how to lead the team. We usually
<<1267>> will discuss it.
<<1268>> >> Um, so as Daniel said, our our goal is
<<1271>> the same. It's kind of the the
<<1273>> intricacies of how that works. Logistics
<<1275>> of it
<<1276>> >> might be slightly different and we might
<<1278>> see it slightly differently.
<<1279>> >> Um, but generally if I feel strongly or
<<1283>> I have something that I'm really
<<1284>> passionate about, then Daniel will
<<1285>> support me to do it. And likewise if
<<1286>> Daniel's feeling passion or something,
<<1288>> yeah, go for it.
<<1289>> >> And so we'll kind of free each other up
<<1290>> to do it. And that's that was one of the
<<1292>> things that
<<1294>> >> that as of our team as well as for our
<<1297>> family that I can just kind of go like
<<1299>> tag you're in like you're on parent
<<1301>> duty, I'm on do or you're on dera duty,
<<1304>> I'm on parent. Um and so and I love that
<<1307>> that our children generally will have at
<<1308>> least one of us. Um I don't think they
<<1311>> quite realize how special that is that
<<1313>> they will pretty much always have one of
<<1315>> us.
<<1316>> >> Yeah. Yeah. Maybe when they have
<<1317>> children they'll realize that actually
<<1318>> gosh this is
<<1320>> >> like it's not generally the case to have
<<1322>> them both of us available really like
<<1324>> they get home from school and we're both
<<1326>> ready to hear the day.
<<1328>> >> Um which is really lovely but it's the
<<1330>> same for our team like they can bounce
<<1332>> off both of us and I really like that.
<<1334>> Yeah.
<<1334>> >> And equally if one of us needs space
<<1336>> like the Wrestlemania thing or you know
<<1337>> I need to go over to my mom's or
<<1339>> whatever
<<1340>> >> then everything doesn't have to stop it
<<1342>> kind of
<<1344>> >> you know the other escaping my forest.
<<1351>> >> Lindy Daniel thank you so much for
<<1352>> joining me for part one of this podcast.
<<1354>> I'm super excited to um bring you guys
<<1357>> along for part two. Uh are you excited
<<1359>> about that?
<<1360>> >> Yeah. Can't wait. It's going to be
<<1361>> great.
<<1362>> So, I'll see you guys soon and thanks
<<1364>> again.
<<1365>> >> Thank you so much for having us.
<<1366>> >> Yeah, thank you.
