<<7>> greetings doTERRA family this is Elena

<<10>> Brouwer I am a double diamond in the US

<<14>> with doTERRA super proud to be here

<<16>> thank you for asking me to join this

<<19>> chat so I'm here to talk to you today

<<22>> about the use of essential oils in your

<<24>> yoga and meditation practice as one of

<<27>> the creators of the yoga collection I'm

<<30>> really proud to talk about that

<<31>> collection but I also have four blends

<<34>> that I would love to share with you

<<36>> blends of one blend and one oil for you

<<40>> to use during your practice so you'll

<<42>> have to wait till the end for that it's

<<43>> gonna be great my yoga journey started

<<46>> in 1989 in college and I went to my

<<52>> first yoga class it was part of a

<<54>> martial arts class fell in love with the

<<56>> practice didn't take another class until

<<58>> I graduated that second class though was

<<61>> in New York at a yoga studio is my first

<<63>> proper yoga class and it was the first

<<66>> time that I had taken anything other

<<67>> than ballet ballet everything is about

<<71>> what's wrong what you need to fix and

<<73>> what you could do better and Yoga was

<<75>> all about what was right and so I fell

<<78>> in love with the practice I committed

<<80>> myself to doing it as often as I could

<<82>> and then I took a teacher training in

<<83>> 1997 and 98 and that's when I started

<<87>> teaching in earnest so it's been more

<<89>> than 20 years teaching I'm so proud of

<<91>> the work that I get to do it's the work

<<94>> of helping people get closer to

<<96>> themselves closer to their families

<<98>> closer to the truth closer to what

<<100>> really works to help them stay well and

<<104>> that's all that yoga accomplishes

<<106>> there's a of course the translation of

<<109>> the word which is literally yoking or

<<110>> Union unifying your brain your mind your

<<115>> body your heart and creating of yourself

<<118>> one clear aim so often my mind is

<<122>> thinking of one thing my body's doing

<<124>> another thing hearts feeling another

<<127>> thing and when I practice yoga when I do

<<130>> it regularly as they do now all the time

<<132>> everything is lined up everything works

<<135>> together in the service of anything that

<<138>> I'm doing

<<138>> my doTERRA work is very similar to the

<<141>> way that I feel about teaching yoga I'm

<<143>> here to help families heal and stay well

<<147>> I'm here to help families get in better

<<148>> communication I'm here to help anyone

<<151>> who practices with me or studies the

<<154>> oils with me get in closer communication

<<157>> with themselves so to that end I would

<<159>> love to talk to you today about the yoga

<<161>> oils the yoga collection which is what I

<<164>> use when I practice and as I said I have

<<166>> these four other little pairings that I

<<168>> love I feel like some of my biggest best

<<173>> secrets in the oil realm but first let's

<<176>> talk about the yoga collection I was

<<178>> really honored to help work on this

<<180>> we'll start with anchor it's you're

<<182>> studying blend it's the most grounding

<<184>> delicious all about self trust and this

<<189>> blend is one of my favorites it has

<<191>> lavender in it it has frankincense in it

<<195>> what a cedar wood cinnamon sandalwood

<<199>> patchouli black pepper yes did I mention

<<203>> cinnamon cinnamon is important in this

<<205>> one

<<206>> I get the feeling every time I use this

<<210>> that I've just landed and that's what I

<<214>> wanted to elicit here in this blend when

<<218>> it comes to the align blend which is the

<<220>> green color you may have it named

<<222>> something else in your country if you're

<<225>> watching this from let's say Australia a

<<227>> line is really about self-acceptance and

<<231>> aligning with your self worth your faith

<<237>> in yourself your faith in humanity it's

<<240>> a very particular blend it to take me a

<<242>> little bit to get used to it has

<<245>> bergamot coriander seed marjoram

<<249>> peppermint geranium basil rose and

<<254>> jasmine

<<256>> it's a beautiful potent blend wonderful

<<261>> if you have sore muscles wonderful if

<<263>> you are in any way having like a little

<<266>> knot in your neck or something just be

<<268>> awake to the fact and similar to anchor

<<271>> 2 I should have mentioned this

<<272>> it's really amazing to support mood

<<277>> grounding stabilizing but I want you to

<<281>> be aware that the align blend is

<<284>> photosensitive because it has as its

<<286>> main note bergamot so just be aware if

<<289>> you're going in the Sun do not put this

<<291>> directly on your skin in a Sun exposed

<<293>> area okay just want to make sure I say

<<296>> that bergamot is a real doozie if you

<<298>> get a sunburn with it

<<301>> between anchor and a line I don't have a

<<304>> preference I prefer them together

<<306>> it's what's true I love to layer these

<<309>> two when it comes to a rise which is the

<<312>> orange sparkly orange I was so happy

<<315>> when we got sparkly labels for these

<<317>> focus lightness this I used for

<<321>> meditation I put a little drop on the

<<323>> top of my head and I'll tell you where I

<<324>> used the other ones next our eyes is

<<328>> very special lemon osmanthus melissa

<<333>> siberian fir and grapefruit incredible

<<337>> the formulations blew my mind in the way

<<341>> that they were put together really came

<<343>> together in such a very magnificent way

<<348>> and I have a lot of respect for the

<<350>> people with whom I worked to create

<<352>> these the anchored blend I usually put

<<355>> on my wrists I'm learning from Desiree

<<358>> Maggie and dog and I would put it on my

<<359>> forearm all the way up into my little

<<361>> elbow crease there especially when I'm

<<363>> practicing vinyasa it's really nice to

<<365>> have anchor and a line blended like this

<<368>> so every time I move my arms past my

<<370>> face I can smell them together I

<<375>> I love using a line in the middle of my

<<378>> practice so I'll keep the align all

<<380>> right at this top of my mat so that when

<<382>> I'm doing a pose maybe I'm getting into

<<384>> a series of poses or vinyasa one side

<<387>> that's long and arduous and I need some

<<392>> energy I will actually apply a line

<<394>> before that I'll put it on my little

<<396>> wrists I'll put it on my neck my little

<<398>> pulse points again if I'm not going in

<<400>> the Sun and it's not I don't want to say

<<403>> it's my favorite smell it's just not my

<<405>> favorite smell but it is potent in the

<<408>> purpose that it serves to get me aligned

<<412>> with what I'm doing in that moment and

<<415>> again arise awesome on the top of your

<<418>> head awesome just to put a little bit on

<<420>> the tip of your nose if you're about to

<<421>> meditate and very often before

<<423>> meditation I'll just take a little bit

<<425>> of a rise on my pink on my fingers like

<<427>> this and I'll just wipe the nostrils in

<<430>> my nose so that's what I smell when I'm

<<432>> breathing just so lovely

<<434>> also nice after doing that to use the

<<436>> hand for alternate nostril breathing

<<438>> which is lovely so those are the yoga

<<442>> oils and how I use them and why we

<<445>> created them the way that we did the

<<447>> pairings are where it's at though and

<<449>> I'm gonna give you the first bearing the

<<451>> first now that you have it adaptive and

<<454>> tamer my goodness these two together are

<<457>> so delicious you could also use adaptive

<<461>> and rescuer which is also really sweet

<<463>> too these two together they're never far

<<466>> the kids oils okay but adaptive and

<<469>> tamer I don't know why I just love them

<<471>> so much together

<<472>> I will roll both on my outer arms and

<<476>> then engage with my practice this one

<<481>> you're gonna love jasmine and brave just

<<486>> beyond delicious for yoga the mornings

<<490>> when I'm feeling well the women can at

<<494>> least identify with this the mornings

<<496>> when we're feeling less than pretty or

<<498>> if we're feeling heavy in any way

<<501>> physically emotionally mentally

<<504>> Jazmin and brave are the perfect

<<507>> antidote energetically physically again

<<512>> all over your pulse points I'd love to

<<514>> rub the two I'll open both of the

<<515>> bottles and rub both of the bottles

<<517>> along the back of my neck and the

<<519>> hairline and then with jasmine and brave

<<521>> I'll put a bunch of my hands and the

<<525>> best feeling so uplifting and also very

<<529>> centering somehow so those two together

<<532>> wonderful I happen to love calmer and

<<537>> cardamom

<<538>> we used to gosh when I'm feeling

<<541>> mentally over worked or over concerned

<<548>> the recent events are all all requiring

<<554>> calmer and cardamom the oil of

<<556>> objectivity the sweet calming of the

<<559>> kids blend calmer I can't say enough

<<561>> about that combination and typically I

<<564>> did I used them today before I came on

<<566>> with you

<<567>> I applied these two together and so I

<<569>> feel very what's the word I feel very

<<573>> capable right now and also very calm and

<<576>> I attribute that to the cardamom and the

<<579>> khamar together the last blends now you

<<584>> could do this I'll give you two options

<<586>> one is your real rose and stronger which

<<592>> just amplifies the Rose that's present

<<594>> in here or the real rose and in tune so

<<601>> feminine so pretty when I'm feeling less

<<606>> than feminine or I'm feeling challenged

<<608>> in some way or I'm feeling like I've

<<611>> hardened in my heart for some

<<613>> circumstance in tune and Rose are

<<616>> perfect and if you have the roller

<<618>> that's fine too I treated myself to the

<<620>> real Rose and I have never regretted it

<<622>> for one moment there so it's so

<<625>> important I like to take this real rose

<<627>> a matter of fact I'll do it right now if

<<628>> you have it you can also do this with

<<630>> the roller put the little bit on your

<<632>> fingertips and then just

<<637>> hmm fixes everything

<<641>> so those are my little secret pairings

<<643>> that I love I would also love to take

<<648>> you through a little sitting meditation

<<649>> if I might I think it's important to

<<651>> just have a little practice in these

<<652>> times and I will invite you to close

<<655>> your eyes and I will invite you to as

<<658>> you do bring your attention right to the

<<662>> center of your brain as though you could

<<666>> pinpoint the very center from the top

<<668>> from the sides and right in the center

<<671>> of your brain as though you could

<<672>> breathe there it's just above the roof

<<678>> of your mouth you can welcome the breath

<<680>> in through your nostrils all the way

<<682>> back into the center of your brain and

<<686>> then from there exhale out through your

<<689>> nostrils okay keep going there just like

<<694>> that three breaths

<<726>> good keeping your eyes closed you can

<<729>> bring your left hand to your heart space

<<731>> and your right hand just on top of it

<<734>> and think for right now about what it is

<<736>> that you would like to accomplish today

<<740>> not in the world not productivity wise

<<743>> but what would you like to accomplish in

<<745>> your own heart would you like to feel

<<747>> more safe more steady more grounded more

<<749>> focused more aligned more uplifted and

<<755>> as you breathe now welcome the breath in

<<758>> through your nostrils down into your

<<759>> heart space where your hands are and

<<761>> fill that space with your breath as you

<<766>> do bring that quality of breath in to

<<771>> your body as you breathe

<<803>> now bring your hands to your belly and

<<808>> whatever quality of heart you want to

<<810>> welcome today breathe it in from your

<<814>> nostrils all the way down to your belly

<<818>> blow up your belly like a little balloon

<<820>> and as you exhale bring your navel back

<<822>> toward your spine three more like that

<<863>> I'll set your hands on your lap let your

<<866>> eyes stay closed and just breathe

<<869>> naturally for the next few breaths allow

<<875>> yourself to receive not only in the

<<880>> nourishment of the breath but the

<<882>> nourishment of the quality of heart that

<<883>> you're welcoming into your body right

<<885>> now

<<895>> staying steady kind present

<<907>> and sensing how each breath fills your

<<909>> belly open spaces inside of your body

<<914>> which is opening communication between

<<919>> the functions the systems even the

<<921>> organs of your body that communication

<<927>> is critical for your life for your

<<929>> health for your longevity taking one

<<938>> more minute here together

<<994>> final few breaths here

<<1040>> very gently dip your chin down towards

<<1042>> your chest and take a moment there just

<<1050>> with your eyes closed to consider the

<<1054>> space inside of your body as a place of

<<1057>> light a light that is to be respected

<<1062>> even venerated the light that calls for

<<1067>> your devotion and as you spend time

<<1076>> practicing a level of devotion to that

<<1078>> light inside of you the one that resides

<<1081>> in your belly in your heart and in your

<<1083>> mind you become more able to feel that

<<1089>> sense of devotion to the light that

<<1091>> lives in others yoga practice the use of

<<1098>> your oils all of it brings you closer

<<1100>> and closer to that light you can bring

<<1105>> your hands to prayer in front of your

<<1107>> heart if you wish or just flat to your

<<1108>> heart space if that's preferable and

<<1110>> with your chin down toward your heart

<<1113>> give thanks for the practice for that

<<1118>> light that lives in you and everyone

<<1120>> else give special thanks in these times

<<1127>> for all the ways in which we are

<<1130>> learning how to overcome the pain and

<<1133>> the trauma that has covered that light

<<1135>> and some of us for too long

<<1145>> and lastly a prayer for those who are

<<1148>> suffering for those who are in pain for

<<1152>> those who are in pain causing pain and

<<1162>> finally as you bring your thumbs to your

<<1164>> third eye right in the center of your

<<1166>> forehead we give thanks for this time

<<1171>> together

<<1172>> for this beautiful community that is

<<1174>> doTERRA

<<1176>> which I am so proud to be a part namaste

<<1180>> thank you so much for hanging around and

<<1184>> for your meditation today thank you
