<<37>> essential oils and their efficacy

<<44>> on essential oils i have been

<<47>> researching

<<48>> essential oil adulteration since more

<<51>> than 10 years

<<53>> today i will share my data and

<<55>> experiences

<<62>> adulteration adulteration can be defined

<<65>> as a process

<<67>> by which quality or nature of a given

<<69>> oil is

<<70>> reduced through addition of our foreign

<<82>> similar oils with each other

<<93>> certainly there is a huge aroma

<<97>> between yuzu orange and grapefruit oils

<<100>> mixing of lavending in lavender a mixing

<<113>> on the daily basis i analyzed several

<<117>> and found following types of oils pure

<<133>> 50 000 per kg so to make higher profit

<<145>> there are basically five types of

<<148>> sold as 100 pure natural organic

<<152>> essential oils

<<154>> and they are aroma enhanced essential

<<157>> oil

<<158>> some synthetic fragrance compounds are

<<160>> added in essential oil

<<162>> cheap essential oil mislabeled essential

<<165>> oil

<<167>> bitter orange oil is sold as grapefruit

<<169>> oils lemonade is sold as lavender

<<172>> condiment is sold as peppermint

<<175>> synthetically derived essential oil

<<178>> natural compounds are not only found in

<<180>> plant

<<181>> they can come from chemical processes

<<183>> too some oils were found to contain

<<186>> added nature identical synthetic

<<189>> molecule

<<190>> some companies oils had heavier

<<193>> percentages of the career oil

<<197>> on my market survey i have found in

<<199>> every more than 80 percent of commercial

<<203>> commercially sold essential oils are

<<205>> adulted by any means

<<209>> adulteration can happen in all possible

<<271>> producers distillers and retailers

<<275>> here is a summary of few data from my

<<277>> past analysis

<<280>> those data are obtained from the sellers

<<281>> claiming their oils to be 100 pure

<<284>> and natural essential oil i have not

<<287>> covered all the analysis

<<289>> data points may not be sufficient for

<<291>> some countries however data are not

<<294>> encouraging to me i carried out

<<297>> lavender essential oil adulteration

<<299>> several times

<<301>> back in 2017 19 and 21.

<<304>> all three times carried market surveys

<<306>> sold me more than 80 percent

<<309>> commercially sold lavender oil is

<<311>> altered

<<312>> you can find those in published articles

<<316>> we also did more than 15 popular brand

<<319>> europe market they also had high

<<322>> quantities of

<<323>> adulteration pure essentials are

<<328>> way expensive since they are produced in

<<330>> low quantities

<<333>> with expensive herb material if you are

<<336>> cheaper essential oil he may get screwed

<<397>> pestilencerata is an indian frankincense

<<402>> yes it is also frankincense but they

<<404>> don't clearly mention

<<406>> the botanical name in the bottle

<<408>> cinnamon oil

<<411>> for cassia since they say the same zen

<<414>> as cinnamon

<<415>> and their name is miss utilized to take

<<419>> cinnamon bark is way expensive over leaf

<<422>> they do not clearly mention in the label

<<426>> once i bought cinnamon oil considering

<<429>> it turned out to be leaf chemistry and
