Become an AromaTouch Advocate

An AromaTouch Advocate learns how to perform the
technique, and can use it on family and friends (as an
unpaid service), but cannot teach or certify others. There
are two ways to become an AromaTouch Advocate.

Option 1

Complete the dōTERRA AromaTouch Technique Online Course.

Gain a deep written understanding of the
Techniques.

Attend a ‘Give & Get’ session.

Arrange a session with an AromaTouch trainer near
you, to learn how to give and receive the
Technique.

Gain your Advocate certificate.

If successful, you will receive your AromaTouch
Advocate certificate.

Option 2

1
Complete training with an AromaTouch Trainer.

Learn the written theory and complete a ‘Give
& Get’ session with a Trainer in person to
learn the Technique.

Gain your Advocate certificate.

If successful, you will receive your AromaTouch
Advocate certificate.

Become a Certified AromaTouch Trainer

An officially certified AromaTouch Technique Trainer is
more advanced; you can share, perform and earn from the
Technique, teach and certify others, and run your own
AromaTouch Technique events.

Become an AromaTouch Advocate.

Follow the steps to become an AromaTouch Advocate.

Perform the techniques on family & friends.

You must practice 30 AromaTouch Techniques, and 15
AromaTouch Hand Techniques, and note down the dates of
your practices plus the names of the recipients.

Achieve and maintain Gold rank for at least 3 consecutive months.

This requirement must be maintained on an ongoing
basis after becoming a qualified trainer.

Request to become an AromaTouch trainer, and submit an application.

Attend an AromaTouch Trainer day.

You’ll be invited to attend a one-day session at our
Budapest office; you’ll receive and give an AromaTouch
Technique, plus gain admin tips and materials for
hosting your own class.* You can also contact

Become officially certified!

If successful, you become officially certified! We’ll
support you with further training and coaching if
needed to help you feel ready.

The AromaTouch Team will confirm your approval to be
registered if you're successful. You'll also receive a
certificate and further details on how to register and
promote your own AromaTouch events.

*You can only become a certified AromaTouch Trainer if you
complete an in-person certification in Budapest. Only
certified trainers can perform, teach and earn from the
AromaTouch Technique.

Certified AromaTouch Technique Trainer

Individuals who have completed the official AromaTouch
Technique™ Certification are permitted to use the
AromaTouch™ trademark and related materials within their
professional practice. Completing the official AromaTouch
Technique™ Certification means that an individual has
attended an official AromaTouch™ Training led by a
dōTERRA-certified AromaTouch™ Trainer and has received an
AromaTouch™ Advocate Certificate. Use of the AromaTouch™
trademark is not limited to licensed massage therapists.
Any individual who has completed the certification and
holds a valid “license to touch” in their respective
country or region may offer the AromaTouch Technique™ as a
paid service, in accordance with local regulations.

Individuals who have not completed this certification and
have not a valid “license to touch” in their respective
country or region may only use the AromaTouch Technique™
in personal, non-commercial settings. It must not be
offered as part of a professional service. Please note
that the AromaTouch Technique™ is an essential oil
application and not a massage. The term “massage” must not
be used in connection with AromaTouch™. All certified
professionals are expected to strictly follow the safety
guidelines provided in the official AromaTouch™ training
and product documentation to help minimize risk and ensure
a consistent standard of care.
