<<6>> Hi I'm Dr. Brannick Riggs,

<<8>> Vice President of Education at doTERRA International,

<<10>> and grateful to be here with my friends

<<12>> of the Scientific and Medical Education Committee

<<14>> here in Europe, and to really have a conversation

<<17>> about MetaPWR and this amazing product line.

<<20>> I would say that I myself haven't been as excited

<<23>> about a product line like this in a long time.

<<26>> This is so incredible and we're so excited

<<29>> to have it here in Europe,

<<30>> and so we'll have that conversation today.

<<33>> But let's start off with talking

<<34>> about metabolic health and metabolism.

<<37>> Ruth, can you help us understand

<<39>> that concept a little bit more?

<<40>> Yeah, certainly.

<<41>> Well, I mean, metabolism is basically how our body deals

<<44>> with the nutrients that we take in, the macronutrients,

<<47>> what it does with carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

<<50>> There are two basic things that we need to do,

<<52>> we need energy and we need to build things in our body.

<<56>> And so it's deciding whether we use it for energy,

<<60>> whether we have the resources to build things,

<<62>> and also what we put into storage

<<65>> for later on and what happens.

<<67>> And the reason why it's really important

<<69>> is because we are finding more and more these days

<<73>> that because our diet perhaps isn't quite so good,

<<77>> our exercise isn't good, there's lots of things

<<78>> that we do that aren't very good for our metabolic health

<<82>> is starting to show.

<<84>> For example, in Europe, I think it's somewhere

<<88>> in the region of 20-25% of people

<<88>> in the region of 20-25% of people

<<90>> in Europe have poor metabolic health.

<<93>> Yeah.

<<94>> And you can see that in terms of healthy life years

<<99>> and those life years at the end, which are not so healthy.

<<103>> Right.

<<104>> So dealing with our metabolic health

<<106>> is also very closely linked to how well we age.

<<109>> So it's linked to a whole number of things

<<111>> that are really, really important.

<<113>> that are really, really important.

<<113>> We're finding more and more, right,

<<115>> that the relationship between metabolic health,

<<117>> even in our younger years,

<<119>> and how that affects us in our older years.

<<121>> Absolutely, absolutely.

<<122>> Making sure we can have those healthy older years,

<<125>> - to your point. - Exactly.

<<126>> So Alexandra, can you talk

<<128>> through the five pillars of metabolic health?

<<131>> Those things that we really know affect metabolic health.

<<136>> Yes, a lot of things are affecting our metabolic health.

<<139>> The first thing is what we're eating.

<<142>> So everything, what we put in our body, eating and drinking,

<<147>> will influence our metabolic health,

<<150>> because our body is taking from everything

<<152>> something that the body is needing

<<155>> and bringing it to the target organs,

<<157>> but also what we are not really needing,

<<162>> the body is also using this.

<<164>> Yeah, and do it in places where the body

<<168>> will maybe need it in hard times, like in fat cells,

<<172>> or the toxic substances that we also can eat.

<<179>> So eating is really important.

<<180>> Also, drinking.

<<181>> We have to drink a lot of water, because we are almost,

<<185>> you said it so lovely, we are a bacteria planet,

<<188>> but the bacteria are swimming,

<<190>> because we are a water planet.

<<192>> We are almost completely about water.

<<195>> So drinking water is really important

<<198>> and not substances with a lot of sugar.

<<201>> So don't take too many sugar and too many salt in

<<206>> us is also really important.

<<208>> So the healthy eating is the first of the pillars

<<212>> from the metabolic health, the health.

<<214>> The second one is the moving.

<<216>> So moving is really important, not only for us,

<<220>> also for our children.

<<221>> How many children are sitting home

<<223>> in front of the TV, iPad?

<<225>> Too many screens.

<<226>> Yeah, so in the past, I think when we were small,

<<230>> the parents told us, "Come back at home",

<<233>> and now the parents are pulling the kids out,

<<236>> going out, moving.

<<238>> And in our days, you're already told that so many children

<<242>> also have problems with metabolic health.

<<245>> I think it's now, so 30% of the children

<<249>> already have problems with some metabolic health.

<<251>> That is 10 times more than in the '70s,

<<254>> and this depends a lot because of the food

<<257>> and also because of the less moving.

<<260>> Cheap food is not healthy,

<<263>> and so people who have not so much money,

<<266>> they have such more problems

<<268>> than the people who have a lot of money.

<<270>> So yeah, we have to be aware about all this.

<<273>> So moving is the second pillar of the metabolic health.

<<278>> The third one is the relationships.

<<283>> And I'm talking about good relationships,

<<285>> because bad relationships are not good

<<288>> for our metabolic health, but the good ones,

<<291>> they are really important

<<292>> because we have a lot of positive hormones in our body

<<295>> who are helping us, and the body releases it

<<299>> when we have relationships, like only touching,

<<302>> touching is so important.

<<304>> And if we have a little baby, a baby is born,

<<308>> everybody is touching this baby and hugging and kissing.

<<311>> But if we are getting older, and if we are getting

<<315>> sicker, we get a lack of feelings,

<<321>> a lack of touching.

<<323>> And all the people outside who are old, they need it.

<<326>> So they need holding their hands,

<<329>> and do good things with them.

<<331>> And we can use AromaTouch for this purpose.

<<335>> I think this is an amazing and easy way

<<338>> to give other people feelings with essential oils.

<<342>> We don't have to do the whole program,

<<344>> we can only use the hand technique,

<<346>> or we can use an essential oil

<<348>> use it on the feet of your grandma.

<<350>> She will love it.

<<352>> So relationships are really important,

<<354>> and this is the third pillar of the metabolic health.

<<358>> The fourth pillar is stress and sleep.

<<361>> We heard today a lot about stress and sleep.

<<363>> And it belongs so much together.

<<367>> For me, I was also a person who said,

<<370>> "Okay, maybe if I sleep one hour less,

<<374>> then I would have less stress the next day,

<<377>> because I would have more time for my tasks."

<<380>> But the problem is we need our sleep

<<384>> and we need the seven to eight hours every day.

<<387>> And if we don't have this sleep in the right time,

<<390>> this is also important, because our circadian rhythm,

<<395>> then we have a problem the next day,

<<398>> because we are tired and we can't work so effective,

<<403>> - and so good, - It's a false economy, yeah.

<<405>> so we lose time, we lose time with less sleep.

<<409>> So on hour, we have more time, but in total,

<<412>> we don't have more time, so yeah.

<<416>> So we have to be aware of our good sleep

<<419>> and also avoiding negative stress as good as we can,

<<423>> or being a little bit better prepared in our life,

<<428>> a little bit better structured,

<<430>> with a little bit more organisation,

<<432>> and relaxing in between.

<<435>> If we have a stressy day, we need in between relaxing,

<<439>> to manage the stressy situations

<<444>> and then we are more resilient

<<445>> and better for the next time.

<<448>> Mindfulness and meditation and things,

<<449>> really, that movement really helps

<<451>> in those things doesn't it, yeah.

<<453>> And it's so interesting

<<455>> that this is influencing our metabolic health also.

<<460>> Yes, and the last one are the intelligent nutritions.

<<464>> Right.

<<465>> And I think it's amazing that we have the opportunity

<<467>> to take nutritions who are helping us

<<470>> or supporting that our body can manage

<<474>> all these negative things better we have outside,

<<478>> but this is only a little part in all of this.

<<481>> A lot of people are thinking, "If I take a good nutrition

<<484>> or if I take a good pill, then I will be healthy,

<<487>> - then I will have a healthy life, - Psychological.

<<489>> then I will lose 20 kilo.

<<491>> Give me the pill I can use and lose 20 kilo immediately."

<<495>> It's a illusion, isn't it?

<<496>> - Yeah. - Right.

<<497>> But that's not possible.

<<498>> We have to look at all these pillars.

<<501>> And that's the most important that we have to change a lot,

<<505>> but we can't change it in one day.

<<507>> So we only can change it step-by-step.

<<510>> And for me, the most interesting was that relationships

<<515>> is the most important

<<516>> in this five pillars of metabolic health.

<<519>> The number one predictor of how long we'll live.

<<521>> - Yes, the number one. - Is how healthy

<<522>> our relationships are.

<<522>> There's some really interesting studies

<<525>> on the blue zones for that, you know?

<<526>> If you've seen those where they looked

<<528>> at why there are areas of the world

<<530>> where people live to over 100,

<<532>> there are a much higher percentage of people

<<534>> living to over 100, and really different areas of the world

<<537>> from, you know, Japan to South America somewhere.

<<540>> And it all comes down to healthy relationships,

<<543>> the value and the purpose that people have,

<<546>> and the respect they have for each other.

<<548>> That's healthy ageing.

<<549>> Alex, you have been with the company for a very long time.

<<552>> You're aware of our Smart & Sassy blend.

<<555>> It's a well-loved blend.

<<556>> And I know with the announcement of MetaPWR,

<<560>> there was some angst about Smart & Sassy

<<564>> going away, right?

<<567>> Could you help us understand maybe why Smart & Sassy

<<571>> is going away, and why we now have the MetaPWR Blend,

<<575>> and the difference between those two?

<<577>> and the difference between those two?

<<577>> Yeah, I mean, doTERRA,

<<579>> we're committed to offering the best, right?

<<582>> So when we know better, we do better,

<<584>> and that's our commitment.

<<585>> So we continue to look at the research

<<588>> behind individual oils, behind oil blends.

<<592>> And you mentioned we've had Smart & Sassy

<<595>> for a number of years.

<<597>> We're able to really zero in on

<<600>> the chemistry of essential oils

<<601>> and the impact that they're having on our physiology.

<<604>> And so we looked at individual oils

<<606>> and then the specific ratios of those oils in a blend.

<<611>> And what's interesting to note is that Smart & Sassy

<<615>> and MetaPWR have the same five essential oils

<<617>> in both blends, but in different ratios.

<<621>> And that adjustment in the chemistry,

<<623>> because we've adjusted the amount of oil,

<<626>> has an impact on our metabolic health.

<<629>> And so we talk about what that does,

<<631>> what that means for adipogenesis

<<634>> or the development of adipocytes and fat cells

<<637>> and their accumulation of fat.

<<639>> So it's pretty fascinating.

<<640>> So it's pretty fascinating.

<<640>> I really appreciate the fact that we tried another blend,

<<643>> same oils, different ratios, and we're like,

<<646>> "We hypothesise that that would be better

<<649>> than our Smart & Sassy blend."

<<651>> And actually found it was worse.

<<654>> And so then we changed again, right?

<<656>> And what I love about this

<<657>> is it's a real life example of synergies.

<<660>> Like no one of those individual oils worked as well

<<662>> as having that exact blend together.

<<665>> And I think that's just a really lovely example

<<667>> of science helping us.

<<669>> - Science and laboratory helping us. - And in this ratio.

<<672>> And in the perfect ratio.

<<674>> - Yes, exactly. - Right.

<<674>> That if we take a little bit of lemon inside

<<679>> and a little bit less ginger or something out,

<<681>> that this whole blend is changing.

<<685>> It's amazing.

<<686>> And we see that, not only, you know,

<<688>> Within single oils.

<<690>> The whole chromatogram

<<692>> the whole chemistry of the whole oil,

<<694>> and now all of the chemistry

<<695>> from the oils and the blend play so well together,

<<698>> - are key to how they function. - It's something, yeah.

<<700>> We love those things.

<<701>> I love a good graph.

<<702>> What is so good is that doTERRA

<<704>> has that commitment of doing better.

<<706>> So with the evolution of the knowledge,

<<708>> and we could just make a better blend.

<<711>> Yeah.

<<712>> We could just stick with the good product.

<<714>> Especially when it's selling well, right?

<<717>> Yeah, it was selling well, but no.

<<718>> We want to give the best

<<720>> for the people.

<<721>> Yeah, we get a lot of angst or frustration

<<723>> every time we're doing away with a product

<<725>> and replacing with a new one.

<<726>> Of course.

<<727>> Lots of frustration with us.

<<728>> But to your point, Alex, as the science comes out,

<<731>> as we understand more, we need to make new iterations

<<735>> on the product because there's better science out there

<<738>> to help direct us.

<<740>> Alex, as in charge of product development at doTERRA,

<<744>> you know a little bit about the MetaPWR products.

<<747>> Why don't you walk us through the three products

<<751>> and tell us about what they do.

<<755>> Yeah, and this journey has been a long time coming, right?

<<758>> It's happened over several years.

<<761>> But really MetaPWR's built on three

<<763>> But really MetaPWR's built on three

<<765>> primary pillars, I guess, from a product perspective.

<<770>> We have our essential oil blend.

<<771>> So this is available in a couple of different ways,

<<775>> you can use the product in a softgel delivery

<<778>> or in a beadlet delivery.

<<779>> The oil on its own can be used aromatically,

<<783>> topically, internally.

<<785>> And then we have MetaPWR Assist.

<<788>> And this product is really designed

<<790>> around helping to influence blood sugar levels.

<<795>> Most of the sugar in our blood comes from our diet.

<<798>> So the things that we're eating.

<<800>> If we're making good food choices,

<<802>> then it will help have a better blood sugar response.

<<805>> But MetaPWR Assist is helping us to influence

<<809>> and to normalise those healthy blood sugar levels.

<<813>> And then we have MetaPWR Advantage,

<<815>> the third step in the MetaPWR product system,

<<818>> which is really addressing biological ageing

<<821>> and metabolic health, that these are interconnected,

<<825>> and we're improving our healthspan from the inside out

<<828>> with the production of NAD, from NMN, with resveratrol,

<<833>> with our collagen tripeptide.

<<836>> So it's an amazing product that really goes at,

<<839>> not just metabolic health, but biological ageing.

<<841>> Yeah, you should be very proud of it, yeah.

<<841>> Yeah, you should be very proud of it, yeah.

<<843>> Yeah, I've often said,

<<844>> until doTERRA figures out the cure for the common birthday,

<<848>> then MetaPWR Advantage is a great product

<<850>> for us to take every single day, right?

<<851>> Yep, do what we can do.

<<852>> It really does help us ourselves respond in a younger way

<<856>> than they would without it, which is fabulous.

<<859>> So let's get into some specifics.

<<862>> And Fernando, maybe you can help us understand this.

<<864>> Tell us the difference

<<865>> or maybe how you would utilise the beadlets,

<<868>> versus the blend, versus the softgels of the MetaPWR blend.

<<873>> Give us an idea of how you'd use those.

<<874>> Yeah, look, there's three different presentations

<<880>> from the same blend.

<<882>> So for me, like I use it, I use the blend, the oil,

<<887>> in water. It really tastes good.

<<889>> And if you don't like to take water all the time all day,

<<894>> and you can add some drops,

<<896>> you really get a different taste, but it will help you.

<<901>> So the beadlets, when you are craving to take some snack,

<<904>> just take a beadlet.

<<906>> It will help you too.

<<908>> And you can use it aromatically.

<<910>> It smells delicious.

<<912>> And the softgels, you can really take it in your meals.

<<916>> So it depends what you prefer, what you like.

<<920>> So there's no right or wrong answer,

<<923>> it's just what you like the most.

<<925>> it's just what you like the most.

<<925>> Options.

<<926>> - Yeah. - Yeah.

<<927>> For me, I use the three of them in all the ways possible,

<<930>> because I really like the flavour, I really like the smell,

<<935>> and I really like what the results I have

<<939>> only with that product.

<<940>> Right.

<<941>> I like the way you're describing

<<942>> these sensory experiences, right?

<<944>> This mindful eating.

<<945>> Sometimes we just want to taste something

<<947>> we just want to smell something, or drink something,

<<950>> and this helps us to do that.

<<952>> Yeah, because sometimes people in my office say,

<<954>> "I don't drink that much water.

<<956>> I don't have that habit."

<<957>> And I say, "Why don't you use some fruit there,

<<960>> why don't you use some essential oil

<<963>> that you like, that helps you?"

<<965>> But because at the end, I want them to drink more water.

<<969>> That's true, that both helps.

<<970>> I don't know, I don't care how they going to take it.

<<972>> I want them to.

<<973>> Because water, really, like you said,

<<976>> helps in all the physiological processes, it's fundamental.

<<980>> But why not use a good product like the MetaPWR blend?

<<985>> Yeah, yeah.

<<986>> So Alexandra, help us understand a little bit

<<988>> about the MetaPWR Assist product, how it works,

<<991>> and then maybe how we might want to utilise it.

<<995>> You know, how you would recommend people use

<<997>> the Assist product?

<<998>> Yes.

<<999>> The MetaPWR Assist product is really amazing.

<<1001>> At first we have the MetaPWR blend inside.

<<1004>> So from all we talk, it's already in,

<<1008>> but there are two ingredients I would like to focus.

<<1012>> The one is the mulberry leaf

<<1013>> The one is the mulberry leaf

<<1014>> and the second one is the berberine.

<<1016>> And in the mulberry leaf, this is not a new thing,

<<1021>> because the traditional Chinese medicine,

<<1023>> I think it's using now for hundreds of years

<<1026>> as a preventing plant.

<<1030>> And we have inside this mulberry leaf an iminosugar.

<<1034>> And this DNJ iminosugar is a sugar analog,

<<1040>> that means it is like a sugar, but it isn't a sugar.

<<1044>> So it's similar to glucose but it's not the same.

<<1050>> There are differences in the chemical structure,

<<1052>> but only small differences.

<<1054>> And these small differences, they do a lot for us.

<<1059>> Because of these small differences, we have

<<1063>> a slower absorption of our carbohydrates

<<1068>> in our digestive system, so that means

<<1072>> that we have a lower increase of our blood sugar.

<<1078>> And this is really amazing,

<<1080>> because we already talked about our glycaemic index

<<1083>> and how important it is for our body,

<<1086>> not to have roller coasters.

<<1088>> Because if we have big roller coasters in our body

<<1091>> with our blood sugar, it could harm our blood vessels,

<<1094>> it could make our cells resistant against insulin,

<<1099>> and we have no other hormone in our body

<<1103>> than insulin who can do this work.

<<1105>> And the work of insulin is to put the sugar out of our blood

<<1110>> and pull it in our cells.

<<1113>> And if the cells are resistant against insulin,

<<1116>> then we also can have later problems

<<1120>> with our metabolic health.

<<1122>> So this is really amazing

<<1123>> that we have on the one side this support,

<<1126>> and on the other side, we have the berberine.

<<1128>> And in the berberine we have the AMPK inhibitor

<<1133>> and this AMPK inhibitor has two points

<<1137>> I would like to imagine.

<<1138>> The first is, it helps insulin a little bit,

<<1142>> it's an insulin helper that the cells could use

<<1146>> so that the sugar could go easier or better in the cells.

<<1152>> Then in the second way, we have an influence

<<1156>> to our cholestyramine and our fat metabolism.

<<1160>> So we have with the AMPK, the opportunity that

<<1165>> enzymes are inhibited

<<1167>> who are for the synthesis of cholestyramine

<<1172>> and also for fat synthesis, they are important.

<<1176>> So this inhibiting is also helping our metabolic health.

<<1180>> And there is a third thing,

<<1181>> and the third thing is our energy.

<<1183>> So in our cells, we have the ATP and the AMP.

<<1188>> If we have a lot of AMP, then we know,

<<1191>> okay, the cells are really tired and we have to do something

<<1196>> and this is totally evolutional.

<<1199>> I think this is one of the oldest things our body can do

<<1203>> is to realise when we need energy.

<<1206>> And this AMPK inhibitor is also our energy giver,

<<1211>> it feels when we have less ATP in the cells

<<1216>> and it promotes and supports our body to get more energy.

<<1221>> So this combination is really amazing.

<<1224>> And with Assist, I think we have a great supporter

<<1228>> for our metabolic health.

<<1230>> Yeah.

<<1230>> I think because of the way it's designed,

<<1232>> we want to make sure that we're taking it

<<1234>> with our largest carbohydrate meal of the day.

<<1236>> Yes.

<<1237>> Because of that issue of inhibiting carbohydrates.

<<1239>> But some people may actually need to take it

<<1241>> several times a day, right?

<<1242>> - Yeah, that's true. - With every meal.

<<1243>> That's true.

<<1243>> So for me, I take the MetaPWR Assist only once a day.

<<1248>> So with my biggest meal, yes,

<<1250>> you can take it with the highest carbohydrate meal,

<<1253>> that would be the most logical.

<<1255>> I'm only thinking, "Okay, which meal is the biggest today?"

<<1258>> So will I have a big lunch

<<1260>> or will I have a big dinner or is it now weekend

<<1263>> and I have a really big breakfast with the family,

<<1266>> then I take it in the morning.

<<1267>> But if I have maybe a little bit more struggle

<<1270>> with my metabolic health, then I would recommend

<<1274>> to take it much more than only once a day,

<<1277>> then take it with every meal a day.

<<1279>> You can take it twice,

<<1281>> you can take it in the morning at lunch or at dinner,

<<1286>> or also if you have in between, you will eat something

<<1291>> with a lot of carbohydrates,

<<1293>> then you can also use the MetaPWR Assist,

<<1298>> to support it.

<<1299>> to support it.

<<1299>> That's great.

<<1301>> So let's do a deeper dive into MetaPWR Advantage

<<1303>> for just a minute.

<<1306>> Ruth, there's two really key ingredients.

<<1309>> You know, it's 12 ingredients in there

<<1310>> and we don't have time to go through all of them,

<<1312>> but there's two ingredients in there, NMN and NAD+.

<<1316>> Ruth, maybe talk a little bit

<<1318>> about why those are relevant to us

<<1320>> and how important they are for us.

<<1322>> Well, Alexandra just mentioned ATP

<<1324>> - and I mean this NADP - She did.

<<1327>> is like, these are the molecules of life.

<<1329>> And it's not just in humans, evolutionary-wise,

<<1332>> it's every life form gets its energy from these molecules.

<<1337>> So the presence of NAD, NADP and of ATP

<<1342>> are what drives every single energy-bound function

<<1346>> within our whole body, our whole metabolism depends on it.

<<1348>> And the interesting thing we know about it is

<<1350>> that if you monitor NAD levels throughout life,

<<1354>> they start going down with age.

<<1356>> So they're sort of an indicator.

<<1358>> Sadly!

<<1359>> Yes, and unfortunately

<<1360>> they are sort of an indicator of age.

<<1361>> And there is sort of more and more research coming up now

<<1365>> which is indicating that supplementation

<<1366>> can help to sort of level up that, to stop that decline,

<<1370>> and help the associated endpoints

<<1373>> that we have that go with it.

<<1374>> And starts at 25, which now at 53,

<<1376>> seems like a very young age to start seeing that decline.

<<1379>> 53 seems like a very young age to me, Brannick.

<<1383>> Yeah?

<<1384>> Yeah, I mean so these are vital things.

<<1389>> And by having this smart supplementation

<<1392>> to help to support through,

<<1394>> it helps every single system in our body,

<<1396>> it helps our energy, it helps the metabolism,

<<1399>> it helps all the processes that we have in the body.

<<1403>> Yeah, so the NAD+ and the NMN

<<1406>> really act as those building blocks.

<<1408>> Yeah.

<<1408>> - So the system can create it, - NMN's a precursor for it.

<<1410>> - into ATP, right? - Exactly, yeah.

<<1411>> So then we can uplevel our energy levels

<<1414>> and maybe keep up with grandkids, right?

<<1417>> Yeah.

<<1418>> Or try to.

<<1419>> Unlikely I think, but you know.

<<1421>> Brannick let me add this,

<<1423>> sometimes people say, "Oh, I feel so tired.

<<1426>> Yeah, sure.

<<1426>> And I've done nothing special during the day,

<<1429>> but I feel tired."

<<1430>> Right.

<<1431>> And what I explain to them is,

<<1433>> "Yeah, because of this process."

<<1435>> Right.

<<1436>> Because NMN, NAD+ reduce along the age,

<<1441>> so you have less capacity to produce more energy

<<1444>> so you feel with less energy.

<<1447>> So that's a great importance to supplements.

<<1449>> For sure, for sure.

<<1451>> We are just upgrading our and improving our metabolism.

<<1455>> Just give it a hand.

<<1456>> Absolutely.

<<1457>> Giving it those building blocks so it can do what it does.

<<1459>> And of course, when we have more energy,

<<1460>> then you can take more exercise

<<1462>> and that helps with the five pillars that are on there.

<<1464>> I mean, these are why these things

<<1465>> are not magical on their own,

<<1466>> but they help to support you to do the right thing.

<<1469>> Right, right.

<<1470>> Yeah, and actually people that try, after a month,

<<1473>> they say when they stop,

<<1475>> they really felt a difference.

<<1478>> They feel with more energy and now they feel,

<<1480>> yeah, they feel lack of something.

<<1484>> Alex, another key ingredient

<<1485>> within our Advantage product is the collagen.

<<1488>> And there's some things that set it apart and make it unique

<<1492>> compared to what's usually found on the market today.

<<1494>> Tell us a little bit more about the collagen.

<<1496>> I'm a huge fan.

<<1497>> I keep expecting it to grow my hair.

<<1500>> It hasn't yet, but maybe I'm expecting a bit much

<<1503>> from the collagen.

<<1504>> Tell us about the collagen and your understanding of that.

<<1507>> Yeah, how much time do we have?

<<1511>> There are a lot of really key unique features

<<1514>> about this collagen.

<<1516>> Just the highlights, so we have marine source,

<<1519>> we have more than 70% in tripeptide form,

<<1523>> we have nine different types of tripeptides.

<<1526>> So people may not necessarily know that collagen

<<1530>> is the most abundant protein in the body.

<<1535>> People commonly recognise that we have collagen in our skin,

<<1538>> we have collagen in our joints,

<<1539>> we have collagen surrounding our organs,

<<1541>> we have collagen connecting our muscles to our joints,

<<1544>> and so collagen is found all through the body

<<1547>> and 28 different types of collagen

<<1549>> have been characterised in the body.

<<1550>> So we're providing collagen in tripeptide format,

<<1554>> more than 70%, in nine different tripeptide types,

<<1558>> to really support that whole body role that collagen plays.

<<1563>> And by consuming this in those small tripeptide fragments,

<<1566>> we can absorb those intact and those amino acids

<<1570>> can help to stimulate the fibroblasts in our body

<<1574>> to synthesise this collagen.

<<1576>> And so we see that and we see that in the benefits

<<1579>> that people are reporting, not just topically,

<<1583>> but the way that they feel, the way that they move.

<<1586>> I've heard feedback, actually, that,

<<1587>> "Well your product doesn't contain very much collagen

<<1590>> compared to what else I was ordering."

<<1593>> And really this is the answer.

<<1594>> With three grams of collagen, but 12 times more bioavailable

<<1597>> than the product that they're consuming

<<1599>> means that you get a whole lot more into the system

<<1603>> than what they're getting from their product.

<<1605>> That's right.

<<1606>> And sometimes people that will state that,

<<1609>> "Oh well, it's the amount of collagen,"

<<1612>> but they're not really understanding the physiology,

<<1614>> the digestion, right?

<<1615>> Because collagen is a macromolecule,

<<1617>> and as a macromolecule,

<<1619>> it can't be absorbed until it's digested.

<<1621>> Right.

<<1622>> So if it's simply digested and cut up, you know,

<<1625>> Ruth mentioned catabolism and anabolism,

<<1628>> the breakdown for energy or the building up,

<<1631>> if we want to build and synthesise new collagen

<<1633>> from these building blocks,

<<1634>> they need to be in these little fragments.

<<1637>> So this indiscriminate digestion of large amounts

<<1641>> of macromolecular protein, called collagen,

<<1646>> it's not really what people should be focused on

<<1648>> if they want to synthesise new collagen.

<<1650>> Yeah, and the nine types also plays a role there.

<<1653>> Typical products have two or three types of collagen,

<<1656>> we have nine types of collagen.

<<1658>> And like for instance, for me,

<<1660>> I was very interested in collagen type 9,

<<1661>> which supports intervertebral discs

<<1664>> as I advance in my years and have birthdays,

<<1667>> it's one of the concerns I have

<<1669>> of how am I gonna hold up in my later years?

<<1672>> And to know that we've got collagen

<<1674>> that's going to be supportive of those intervertebral discs

<<1677>> is pretty fantastic.

<<1679>> Yeah.

<<1680>> And beside this different collagen types,

<<1682>> what you said with this synergic reaction,

<<1684>> we have also, in this product, the collagen supports.

<<1688>> And I think this is really amazing,

<<1690>> because if I give a patient a collagen product,

<<1694>> I will never give it without vitamin C.

<<1696>> We need vitamin C for the collagen synthesis.

<<1699>> No collagen without vitamin C.

<<1702>> That is so logical and vitamin C is so cheap,

<<1706>> so why other things are sometimes not so smart.

<<1711>> So I think it's really smart

<<1712>> that we have inside the vitamin C,

<<1715>> we have the biotin inside,

<<1716>> we had the hyaluronic acid inside,

<<1719>> and we have the phytoceramides inside.

<<1722>> So all the things we can support,

<<1723>> not only the skin like you said,

<<1725>> also the joints and also our concentration, our mood,

<<1731>> because we need all this also the collagen

<<1734>> for supporting our cardiovascular health

<<1737>> and also supporting other things in our body.

<<1741>> Yeah, you mentioned the connection

<<1744>> between collagen, supporting our collagen,

<<1747>> and our cardiometabolic health.

<<1749>> There's a recent publication out of the UK actually

<<1751>> that looked at the association

<<1753>> of consuming collagen tripeptides

<<1756>> and improved cardiometabolic health,

<<1758>> and when we understand that collagen plays a role

<<1761>> throughout our entire body.

<<1763>> You know, in the vasculature of our heart

<<1765>> - and things like that, - Yes, we have in the muscles.

<<1766>> we can see how it improves

<<1768>> our whole metabolic health.

<<1770>> So we've touched on each of the products within the System

<<1773>> and then the whole MetaPWR System as a whole.

<<1776>> We may have some people and Wellness Advocates out there

<<1779>> wondering do they need to use the whole System?

<<1783>> So I guess the question I would pose to the group

<<1785>> is do they?

<<1786>> - Yes. - Yes.

<<1787>> Absolutely, yes.

<<1788>> Okay, all right, I think that's fairly unanimous.

<<1790>> Why would it be important for them to use the whole System

<<1794>> as a whole rather than individual components?

<<1798>> Because they all, you know,

<<1799>> they all address different parts of that,

<<1801>> of the five metabolic pillars.

<<1803>> They help to support different elements

<<1805>> and they act synergistically together to do that.

<<1809>> So they have a good relationship of intelligent nutritions.

<<1815>> There you go.

<<1815>> They have healthy connections and healthy relationships.

<<1819>> I think that's great.

<<1819>> The products actually were designed

<<1821>> to be used together.

<<1823>> Yeah.

<<1823>> The whole System is intended

<<1825>> and they compliment one another.

<<1827>> Yeah, for sure.

<<1828>> So for those who can't wait to start using MetaPWR

<<1833>> as a system, Alexandra, maybe you can help us understand

<<1836>> what a day in our life might look like using MetaPWR.

<<1841>> Okay, so the MetaPWR blend, we heard a lot about it,

<<1843>> that we have this in three different forms.

<<1847>> We have the oil, and the softgels,

<<1849>> and also as the beadlets.

<<1851>> So I would say the metabolic blend,

<<1854>> we can bring this in our daily routine.

<<1858>> So take it whenever you want, whenever you like,

<<1861>> whenever you feel.

<<1862>> So you can use it when you have cravings.

<<1866>> Yeah, that's a great time.

<<1867>> You can use it starting in the morning

<<1870>> with a big glass of water,

<<1872>> you can use the beadlets in your handbag,

<<1875>> in your small handbag, or also in your jeans pocket.

<<1878>> Good, because I don't have a handbag.

<<1882>> Okay.

<<1883>> So you can take it with you.

<<1884>> Yeah, that's a great travel size, right?

<<1885>> Yeah, great travel size.

<<1887>> And easy to share too.

<<1888>> - And it's easy to share. - Absolutely, he's right.

<<1889>> - Yeah, yeah. - Yeah, that's a good point.

<<1891>> - And I love the softgels, because you can take it easily

<<1896>> and you can take it quickly

<<1897>> and you don't have to drink a whole glass of water with it.

<<1901>> There are some people who are using maybe the blend

<<1904>> under the tongue, this is also possible,

<<1906>> but you have such different ways you can use the blend now.

<<1910>> So you can choose.

<<1911>> It's no matter which one you take, but take it,

<<1914>> take it in your daily routine.

<<1917>> The MetaPWR Assist I would recommend for people

<<1920>> with a normal metabolic health

<<1923>> that they take it once a day with their biggest meal

<<1927>> or the highest meal with the highest ratio of carbohydrates.

<<1932>> That would be the best.

<<1933>> I take it mostly with my biggest meal of the day.

<<1938>> But if you have problems with your metabolic health already,

<<1942>> then for better supporting,

<<1943>> I would recommend take it two or three times a day

<<1947>> before every carbohydrate meal

<<1951>> and take it 15 to 20 minutes before you eat.

<<1956>> If you forget it, then take it when you eat,

<<1960>> that's also okay and can work,

<<1962>> but afterwards, I would not recommend to take it,

<<1965>> then I would wait until your next meal

<<1968>> or 15 to 20 minutes before your next meal, yeah.

<<1971>> And if you're having a meal that's only protein,

<<1973>> then you don't necessarily need to take the Assist, correct?

<<1976>> Yes, yes, yes.

<<1977>> That's true.

<<1978>> It's really mainly geared towards carbohydrates.

<<1980>> Yes.

<<1981>> How about the Advantage?

<<1982>> What's the recommendation there?

<<1983>> The Advantage, I would say, once a day.

<<1985>> Once a day in the morning at lunch or in the evening.

<<1989>> No matter when.

<<1990>> When you have time, then you take the Advantage.

<<1993>> But if you want or if you like,

<<1995>> you can take more than only one sachet.

<<1998>> I take only one sachet.

<<1999>> For me, it's perfect and enough,

<<2001>> but I think you can take it also twice or three times a day.

<<2006>> For the Advantage users, it's also possible.

<<2009>> Yeah, we're finding folks sometimes with the Advantage

<<2012>> is some people take it,

<<2014>> it makes them a little bit more fatigued,

<<2016>> but those people actually are sleeping better

<<2018>> when they take the Advantage

<<2019>> - in the evening. - Yeah, that happens to me.

<<2020>> I tend to take it in the afternoon-evening,

<<2022>> because I heard that and I find it much better

<<2025>> to do it that way.

<<2026>> And for me, it was actually the opposite.

<<2027>> I'd heard it too and I started using it in the evening

<<2029>> and I was not able to get to sleep in the evening.

<<2031>> It was midnight-1:00 AM until I finally got tired.

<<2034>> So for me, it's morning time

<<2036>> and that keeps my energy level up throughout the day.

<<2038>> Everybody's different.

<<2039>> - It's really strange. - Yeah, individual genetics.

<<2040>> It's that personal wellness realised, right?

<<2042>> We're learning how our system works.

<<2045>> And that's very important, yeah.

<<2046>> And we have to try.

<<2047>> Yes, yes.

<<2048>> Yeah, absolutely.

<<2049>> And you probably have to readjust and, yeah.

<<2051>> Yeah.

<<2052>> So I'm going to ask you this question, Fernando,

<<2055>> about the fact that we have our Lifelong Vitality Pack

<<2058>> and now we've come out with the MetaPWR System.

<<2060>> And some people might be thinking,

<<2062>> "Well, I should just take one or the other."

<<2065>> Is there a need to continue taking Lifelong Vitality

<<2068>> along with our MetaPWR or does one replace the other?

<<2072>> LLV is a product, MetaPWR is another product.

<<2076>> Different ways of working.

<<2079>> So they compliment each other.

<<2081>> Yeah.

<<2082>> None of them substitute the other.

<<2084>> One gives you energy, helps you with your adiposes,

<<2088>> helps you with your glucose spikes,

<<2090>> the other gives you minerals, gives you vitamins,

<<2095>> even micronutrients, so they complement.

<<2098>> So if you think MetaPWR and LLV are a huge complex,

<<2104>> they are two different.

<<2106>> They can be taken together.

<<2109>> So you have your routine to take your LLV

<<2111>> and you have your routine to take MetaPWR.

<<2114>> Yeah, I think, Ruth, what you said earlier

<<2117>> about the fact that metabolic health and our MetaPWR System

<<2122>> is all about macronutrients.

<<2124>> Yes, yeah.

<<2125>> It's what we do with our fats, carbohydrates,

<<2127>> proteins, and LLV is all about our micronutrients,

<<2131>> the micronutrients that our cells need.

<<2133>> And it's no wonder that we have the foundational level

<<2136>> of the wellness chart being nutrition,

<<2137>> which is where our LLV sits,

<<2140>> and then on top of that is our metabolism,

<<2143>> making sure that our cells are getting

<<2145>> all of the micronutrients that they need

<<2147>> to then now be able to deal with the macronutrients.

<<2150>> Yeah, you might have the energy,

<<2153>> but if you haven't got the enzymes

<<2154>> and the processes that you need to do that,

<<2157>> which is when the micronutrients come in,

<<2158>> then it won't go anywhere, it doesn't do anything.

<<2160>> So you need the whole package, yeah.

<<2162>> Yeah, absolutely.

<<2164>> So these amazing people

<<2166>> that I have the privilege of hanging out with

<<2168>> have had the opportunity to use MetaPWR

<<2170>> for quite a while now and experience its benefits.

<<2174>> And I was so grateful that you could join me today

<<2177>> and having this conversation

<<2179>> and helping us really do a deeper dive into MetaPWR.

<<2181>> So thank you very much.
