<<67>> vetiver is a really interesting crop in

<<70>> that it's a very Hardy grass it can grow

<<75>> there primarily for the fragrance

<<77>> industry and we have targeted for the

<<80>> aromatherapy industry specifically both

<<82>> with our partners on the ground there

<<83>> and the cooperative we're working with

<<85>> to grow our raw materials the manual

<<89>> labor required to harvest vetiver

<<91>> is quite incredible it's much harder

<<94>> than what I ever imagined and they do

<<96>> this day in and day out not only do they

<<100>> hold a better per plant out of the out

<<102>> of the ground but then they've got to

<<104>> take a stick and they've got to beat the

<<106>> dirt out of the root system so that all

<<108>> they have left is just that pure better

<<114>> fifteen days to produce one gallon of

<<117>> oil 500 of these bells to fill up one of

<<121>> those 20-foot tall Steel's

<<122>> and after its harvested you'll get one

<<125>> gallon of oil for five guys work for 15

<<130>> Western Hemisphere truly is an ideal

<<133>> place for a co impact sourcing they have

<<136>> tens of thousands of small-scale farmers

<<138>> who are largely unorganized and are

<<141>> being able to go there and truly make an

<<143>> impact the difference in a country that

<<145>> badly needs it presented us a great

<<147>> opportunity to to undertake our sourcing

<<219>> things like education they couldn't

<<221>> afford to send their children to school

<<225>> sustainable stream of income throughout

<<323>> you know certain people in 2014 that

<<327>> have water you know to even be or four

<<331>> to even cook their food they have to

<<333>> work hours from where we were to get a

<<336>> single gallon of water and myself are

<<340>> not acceptable I want to change their

<<342>> way of life but I won't be able to make

<<345>> a miracle as we sat there we understood

<<350>> the desires of their heart to someday

<<352>> have water

<<354>> we made a commitment that we would bring

<<355>> that to them
