<<6>> Hi, I'm Abby Stopher.
<<8>> I am the Senior Product Marketing Manager
<<10>> for dōTERRA Europe,
<<12>> and today I am joined by two
<<14>> of our Scientific and Medical Education Committee members,
<<18>> Dr Fernando Guerra and Dr Alexandra Nitsche, hello.
<<22>> - Hello Abby.
<<23>> Thank you for being part of this today.
<<25>> Today we're going to be talking
<<26>> about the new MetaPWR Mito2Max.
<<30>> But before we get into that, Alexandra,
<<33>> can you tell me, what is energy in the human body?
<<38>> How and where is it made?
<<40>> - So if energy is the fuel of our bodies,
<<45>> it's like gasoline,
<<47>> it's the fuel for our course, right?
<<49>> So we need this energy or this power for doing everything.
<<54>> That means we need it for moving our muscles, we need it
<<58>> for breathing, we need it even for thinking.
<<62>> But how or where is this energy?
<<65>> Or who is the one who is responsible for making this energy?
<<69>> And these are our mitochondria.
<<72>> And the mitochondria,
<<73>> they are the powerhouses in our cells.
<<76>> They live in every cell in our body except the red blood
<<81>> cells, but in every other cell in our body.
<<84>> So in over 34 trillion cells, we have
<<87>> 34 trillion little tiny entities
<<92>> in our body.
<<93>> And these little tiny entities are really fascinating
<<97>> because they are individual,
<<100>> and we inherit them from our mother.
<<103>> But the interesting thing is that all
<<106>> of us have the same mitochondria in us.
<<110>> So the same entities with almost no difference.
<<114>> They can't live without us,
<<116>> but we also can't live without them.
<<119>> And they are producing energy
<<122>> by producing ATP.
<<124>> So we can say ATP is the energy in our cell,
<<128>> it's like a little battery.
<<130>> So if we need energy in our bodies, then the ATP
<<133>> or the battery is releasing this energy
<<137>> and then our body functions can work.
<<140>> But the question is, what is the fuel
<<142>> for the mitochondria making energy?
<<145>> And I think this is a really important topic
<<147>> because these are nutrients.
<<150>> And it's so important to talk about what we eat
<<154>> because everything that we eat, our body tries
<<157>> to convert into energy inside our cells,
<<161>> in our mitochondria with cellular respiration.
<<166>> And these are the so-called macronutrients, carbohydrates,
<<171>> proteins and fats.
<<173>> And because of that, it's so important what kind
<<176>> of fuel we give to our mitochondria,
<<178>> because then it depends on
<<181>> how strong our energy is on the one side,
<<183>> and second, it's also important for our mitochondria
<<187>> to keep them healthy because we really need them.
<<191>> - Great, so it's obviously incredibly important,
<<194>> what we consume can play a really big part
<<197>> in how our mitochondria performs for us.
<<201>> So Fernando, could you talk
<<204>> to us about the constituents within MetaPWR Mito2Max,
<<209>> and how they help with energy production?
<<212>> So the constituents are really important to give us
<<215>> all the energy that mitochondria has,
<<219>> and those constituents are important
<<224>> because they help the mitochondria to work better.
<<227>> So if you look at the mitochondria as a big factory,
<<232>> which is very tiny inside the cell, there's a lot
<<236>> of molecular processes that work together like a symphony
<<241>> to produce energy.
<<243>> And Mito2Max helps us
<<245>> to help the small machines that produce
<<249>> the electrons, that produce the ATP, that will be required
<<254>> for multiple reactions in our body.
<<257>> Sometimes people don't realise,
<<258>> but for every reaction we need energy.
<<263>> So we cannot make an enzyme work without the energy.
<<268>> And that energy is provided by our mitochondria,
<<271>> and without that we cannot survive.
<<274>> And Alexandra, what are some of the things
<<277>> that make us feel tired during the day?
<<280>> Are there things that interfere with our energy?
<<284>> Of course,
<<285>> and I think we all know the feeling,
<<287>> how it is being tired during the day,
<<290>> but the primary reason for being tired is a lack
<<294>> of sleep and rest.
<<296>> And this is a really big problem, we mentioned earlier
<<299>> that people are not aware when they go to bed,
<<302>> or what they do before bed, they don't have
<<304>> sleep hygiene.
<<308>> And it's important that we avoid screen time
<<312>> before sleeping because our bodies,
<<316>> and also our cells,
<<317>> and also our mitochondria, they need rest
<<321>> so that they can recharge their batteries
<<323>> for the next challenges that our bodies have to do.
<<327>> But there are also other factors that can influence
<<331>> our mood or our tiredness.
<<335>> And these are things like a lack of good food,
<<338>> so if we have bad nutrition
<<343>> with not so healthy macronutrients,
<<348>> or a lack of macronutrients as well.
<<350>> So we talked also about different lifestyles,
<<353>> and some lifestyles they avoid different foods,
<<357>> and this could also make problems.
<<361>> Then a lot of stress, a lot of stress.
<<364>> Unhealthy relationships is also a really big topic.
<<369>> Maybe you had in your life a moment when you
<<372>> had a personal problem with somebody, or a fight,
<<376>> or maybe you were sad,
<<378>> and we feel in these moments how tired we are,
<<382>> how exhausted we are, and it takes so much energy
<<386>> inside us if we have these
<<390>> bad relations in our life.
<<393>> So if we have a look at our wellness chart again,
<<397>> there is everything that can lead to
<<401>> a lot of energy, what can give us a lot of fuel for
<<406>> our mitochondria, but also mentioned
<<410>> are the things that can lead to
<<414>> fatigue and also tiredness.
<<417>> I think also lifestyle habits can influence
<<420>> our energy in our body.
<<423>> Like if we have excessive consumption
<<426>> of caffeine or alcohol,
<<429>> all these lifestyle habits can also have a high
<<432>> impact on that.
<<433>> - And it's hard I think
<<434>> because you can have really good habits,
<<437>> you can have all the best intentions
<<439>> to have healthy habits,
<<440>> but sometimes life just doesn't or
<<442>> your day doesn't work out that way, right?
<<444>> You can plan to go to bed,
<<446>> be off screen time at 8:00 PM, be in bed at 9:00 PM,
<<449>> and then for whatever reasons, work,
<<452>> kids, stress, keeps you up.
<<454>> So it's hard to have that support to take you through
<<458>> during those times as well when sometimes
<<460>> life just doesn't match what you are hoping to plan for.
<<464>> - It is, I agree totally,
<<465>> and because of that, it's important
<<466>> that we don't change our habits all in one day,
<<470>> because maybe then we go into this challenge for one,
<<474>> two, maybe three days and after a few weeks, everything
<<477>> will be like it was in the last year.
<<480>> So we have to change tiny things.
<<482>> So if we don't like salad, or we are not eating salad
<<487>> because it needs time to cut every food
<<491>> into small parts, then let's start only with a tomato.
<<495>> Start with a tomato for maybe one week, and then
<<497>> after one week we can add a cucumber and so on.
<<501>> And this we can also do with our healthy habits in our life,
<<505>> we say, "Okay, maybe today I will go a little bit
<<510>> earlier to bed", or "Today I will stop
<<515>> my screen time at 7:00 PM."
<<519>> Start with little things,
<<521>> and then we can enhance them
<<524>> and then maybe one day we will have
<<527>> a totally healthier lifestyle.
<<529>> But every step is important
<<531>> and I think we have to try it now.
<<534>> So today has to be day one
<<537>> of changing our lifestyle.
<<539>> - For sure, and sometimes it's hard to believe
<<541>> that little things can make up
<<542>> that big of a difference in the long run.
<<544>> And I'm guilty, I've got to be honest.
<<548>> - We all are.
<<549>> When I'm feeling like I'm lacking energy, I might consume
<<553>> something or take something that will give me energy
<<556>> to get me through either a meeting,
<<559>> or to help support me through that day,
<<560>> but sometimes I'll feel a bit anxious afterwards
<<564>> or I'll feel jittery.
<<567>> Is that something that, as we talk about MetaPWR Mito2Max,
<<571>> is that an effect
<<572>> that I and those that might be in the same boat
<<575>> as me, might receive?
<<576>> - We need to think about all
<<579>> those symptoms in a broader way.
<<582>> - Okay.
<<583>> So looking at the chart,
<<585>> looking at what you do for your rest, your diet.
<<589>> All combined helps, with Mito2Max, to avoid those feelings.
<<595>> And we can't forget, if we take it every day
<<598>> and skip one day or two, or you are going to travel
<<601>> and you just forget to take it,
<<604>> we will not feel that feeling of anxiousness,
<<610>> because the levels that are achieved are stabilised,
<<614>> and there are minor effects
<<618>> or a lack of them when you don't take the dose
<<622>> of Mito2Max for one day or two. That doesn't give you
<<626>> a lack of that substance.
<<631>> The elements and the substances that we choose,
<<634>> because they are so natural and also so well studied,
<<638>> it helps not only with our energy,
<<641>> but also with our mental state.
<<643>> It helps us to feel better,
<<647>> to balance ourself.
<<651>> - So Fernando, can you tell us the best way
<<653>> to take MetaPWR Mito2Max?
<<656>> - Sure.
<<656>> So it depends for everyone, everyone is different.
<<660>> It depends on how their day starts.
<<664>> So it's better to always take with food,
<<669>> maybe in the morning.
<<669>> Let me tell you how my experience was before.
<<674>> Before, I just took a coffee in the morning,
<<677>> and then I started to change to Mito2Max
<<681>> to see how it works for me,
<<684>> and it really works very well.
<<685>> So I feel that push in the morning, "Let's go, let's go
<<689>> to work, let's go to the meeting."
<<691>> So actually it gives me that feeling of wellbeing
<<695>> for the day, and without any of the other effects
<<700>> you sometimes get when you take a beverage, where
<<703>> at the end you feel the need to take another.
<<706>> And you don't feel that with Mito2Max, you feel good.
<<708>> And that's why I recommend
<<711>> taking it in the morning with food.
<<713>> For some people thinking about taking it,
<<717>> don't take it at night.
<<719>> Sometimes because of the product itself,
<<723>> it gives you too much push and then you want to sleep.
<<725>> And then we have trouble with the sleep itself.
<<728>> I really recommend for the morning push
<<731>> to just start the day.
<<732>> - And Alexandra, so we are sat here today
<<734>> with MetaPWR Mito2Max, which is a new formula.
<<737>> Previously we had Mito2Max.
<<740>> Can you talk us through
<<741>> what the differences are in this new formula,
<<744>> and with it now coming underneath the MetaPWR umbrella?
<<748>> - Yes, so at first we had the MetaPWR umbrella,
<<751>> like you said.
<<753>> That's great because I think energy
<<755>> and metabolism are connected.
<<757>> And now we have the MetaPWR essential oil
<<760>> as a new ingredient inside.
<<762>> So we have all the benefits from the essential oils we have
<<765>> in the MetaPWR oil blend; that's Lemon, Grapefruit,
<<769>> Peppermint, it's the Cinnamon Bark and also the Ginger.
<<774>> And all these essential oils with all their benefits
<<777>> for the metabolism can support the mitochondria.
<<781>> And the mitochondria, sometimes they need
<<783>> a little bit of help,
<<784>> and we talk about these ingredients which can help
<<786>> or support mitochondria, and we call them mitoceuticals.
<<791>> These mitoceuticals at first
<<793>> are protecting mitochondria in one way,
<<795>> and in the other way they are helping them with their
<<797>> challenge, like helping transport the macronutrients in
<<801>> the citric acid cycle.
<<804>> And because of that, for supporting
<<807>> more of this mitochondria with mitoceuticals,
<<809>> there are in total five new ingredients
<<812>> in the new Mito2Max.
<<813>> So at first we talked about the MetaPWR, this is new,
<<816>> then the PQQ is new, and the Eriodictyon Californicum,
<<822>> but there are two more ingredients
<<825>> and these ingredients are only in the European formula.
<<828>> We have the Pantothenic Acid inside,
<<831>> so the vitamin B5 we already know and love,
<<835>> and we have the manganese citrate inside, so
<<838>> an all-over, really big and supportive combination.
<<843>> And I think that all these ingredients can work together
<<847>> in a synergistic way,
<<850>> and can support our mitochondria
<<853>> and so support our energy level
<<857>> now on a higher level.
<<859>> - Definitely. Sounds like it is a powerhouse.
<<862>> It was before,
<<864>> but definitely an upgraded version of Mito2Max,
<<867>> which we hope everyone's going to love and enjoy.
<<870>> So thank you both for your time today.
<<872>> - Thank you - It's been great to talk to you.
