<<0>> what are the best essential oils to use
<<2>> when your kids return to school
<<4>> anna anya and julia will dive into this
<<7>> topic
<<7>> and share with us their experiences of
<<10>> using essential oils with kids and
<<12>> teenagers
<<13>> let's watch
<<17>> [Music]
<<22>> hello everyone hi we are super
<<26>> happy to be here today um we're going to
<<28>> talk about
<<29>> back to school that's the reason we're
<<30>> here and i have
<<32>> three amazing leaders from different
<<35>> countries different places in europe
<<37>> and we thought we'll come here to just
<<39>> have a little chat we're all
<<40>> mothers uh we all have children and
<<42>> we've discovered we cover
<<44>> all different ages so it will pretty
<<47>> much cover
<<48>> all different ages of school in years
<<50>> that we've we we can cover about
<<52>> and we thought we'll come here and just
<<54>> quickly chat about
<<55>> what oils we use um with our children to
<<59>> support them going back to school
<<60>> what oils they use ourselves what
<<63>> products we use ourselves
<<65>> some people are more anxious some are
<<67>> less anxious some are happier to
<<69>> the kids are going back to school some
<<71>> are a little bit feeling a little bit
<<72>> sad so there's a mixed emotions of this
<<74>> time of the year because
<<75>> most of us have been at home with our
<<78>> children for the last
<<80>> six months i am really happy to
<<83>> introduce anna verenda
<<84>> julia petrolini and anya so let's start
<<87>> with establishing
<<89>> each one of you who you are where you're
<<92>> from and
<<93>> how old and what children hate
<<95>> children's you have
<<96>> so let's start with anna she's on my top
<<98>> corner here and then we'll go around
<<100>> so hello hi i'm anna ferrande i'm from
<<103>> portugal
<<104>> and i'm passionate about essential
<<106>> horrors and doterra
<<108>> i am the mother of two boys they are
<<110>> twin and they have 14 years old
<<114>> they are very different and have a very
<<116>> different opinion about essential oils
<<119>> for for me being a mother
<<123>> is a gift because i lost my mother very
<<125>> early and i am very protective
<<128>> and very connected with them oh how
<<131>> lovely and
<<132>> we know how your children are different
<<133>> i often talk with them about
<<135>> how our children react to certain things
<<137>> and it's a really interesting story as
<<139>> always
<<139>> um julia let me come to you so
<<143>> you have a wide range of ages in your
<<145>> household don't you
<<146>> do you want to share with everyone about
<<148>> your
<<149>> where you are and your situation at the
<<151>> moment and your children's ages
<<155>> sure well yeah i'm from italy my husband
<<157>> is american
<<158>> we have lived in united states for many
<<159>> many years and then in the last four
<<161>> years we've been here
<<162>> so the children went through this i have
<<165>> the oldest that
<<166>> is turning 16. she's a beautiful young
<<169>> woman
<<170>> girl and there is a 14 year old girl and
<<172>> there is a
<<173>> 12 year old boy a 10 year old boy
<<177>> an eighth turning nine in november year
<<180>> old
<<180>> boy and then there is a big gap and we
<<184>> have our
<<184>> baby who is turning three next week
<<190>> yeah and is that boy or a girl the last
<<192>> one the baby another boy
<<193>> i've got two so one two girls and four
<<195>> boys
<<198>> i'm exhausted just to think about the
<<200>> household just the
<<201>> food to all of those oh my god
<<206>> it must have been a nightmare for the
<<207>> last six months to feed them all the
<<209>> time
<<210>> and yeah do you want to care to share
<<213>> with everyone where are you and your
<<214>> children
<<216>> hi it's so good to be here today i'm
<<219>> coming from beautiful slovenia so
<<222>> you're welcome to come visit us i'm a
<<224>> mother of two boys
<<226>> four and a half and seven years old
<<229>> and like i am they completely love
<<232>> my doterra job being a leader having
<<236>> a lot of time to connect with them to be
<<239>> with them
<<240>> so this truly is a blessing oh how
<<243>> wonderful
<<244>> so for those who don't know me and i
<<246>> haven't introduced myself yet so i
<<248>> thought i'll do that now
<<249>> my name is mafaldi clearly i'm the
<<251>> market development manager for portugal
<<253>> and spain um i live in uk i am
<<255>> portuguese
<<256>> and my whole family is in portugal but i
<<258>> live in england with my children
<<260>> and i have two teenagers i have
<<262>> sebastian who's
<<263>> we call seb seb's 18 and he's going to
<<266>> university for the first time
<<267>> this year in a week's time and i have
<<270>> tilly
<<271>> however as we all know the situations
<<274>> have changed and for the last six months
<<276>> pretty much everybody's had their kids
<<278>> full time at home so
<<279>> that's been an interesting challenge for
<<281>> some of them
<<282>> i can homeschooling uh online tutoring
<<287>> uh you know i'm sure some of you have
<<289>> had uh different experiences
<<291>> i think you'll be really good to have a
<<293>> quick uh chat about how has it been for
<<296>> you all to adapt to having all of your
<<299>> children at home
<<300>> all the time and having to do stuff you
<<302>> know they still have to have some sort
<<303>> of
<<304>> education but all online um let's start
<<307>> with anya now we're going to go back
<<308>> down and
<<309>> how has it been for you because that's a
<<310>> challenging age to teach right
<<313>> yeah actually we just now for a few days
<<316>> we have a first grader he just
<<319>> started going to school
<<322>> but before now uh before before that
<<326>> we are living on a big farm so we are
<<329>> outside
<<330>> a lot we have a lot to do with our
<<333>> animals
<<334>> so i'm really grateful because
<<338>> this time was perfect for us to
<<340>> reconnect to be together much more
<<344>> but now the when the school started they
<<346>> are
<<347>> actually going to school there is no
<<349>> homeschooling here for us
<<352>> we use a lot of oils to support emotions
<<355>> to be brave to stay strong and
<<359>> i'm so grateful for all of the rules
<<362>> that
<<363>> is offering us because it really is
<<367>> much more much less challenging
<<370>> to start a new school year um when you
<<374>> um support yourself in that kind of way
<<378>> you know how lovely to be in the farm
<<380>> when you've got to be indoors we to have
<<382>> the
<<382>> ability to just go run around and have
<<385>> all that space that's nice
<<386>> yes yes we are outside basically
<<390>> all day long the kids would also sleep
<<393>> outside if they could
<<394>> so ah oh anna i think you have a quite
<<398>> opposite side of the story haven't you
<<401>> how's it been for you with your tea with
<<403>> your voice
<<404>> we stay at home this all time with the
<<407>> pandemy
<<408>> it was very good because we we all have
<<410>> together we have
<<411>> oils to support them they are very sad
<<415>> because the
<<416>> her friends but now we are start again
<<418>> they back to school the next week
<<420>> and they are very excited to go and back
<<423>> again to the normal routine
<<425>> excellent and did you have online
<<427>> classes with them that they had online
<<429>> lessons
<<430>> the online classes was very difficult
<<433>> because uh here in portugal
<<435>> uh it's not very usually to do that and
<<438>> was very difficult the adaptation but
<<441>> now i think it's more easy and now we're
<<444>> going to change our our life
<<446>> now julia you must have a wide range of
<<449>> experiences in terms of six months of
<<451>> having them all home with different ages
<<453>> tell me
<<454>> tell us a little bit about how was it
<<455>> for you like
<<457>> uh anya we live we have a big piece of
<<459>> land
<<460>> actually two weeks ago i drove down to
<<463>> my hometown
<<464>> and my youngest brother gifted me
<<467>> seven hens and one rooster
<<470>> so here i was traveling with my little
<<473>> babies in the box
<<475>> in the back and so we have a chicken
<<477>> coop and
<<478>> we are we are getting ready to expand
<<481>> also the animal
<<482>> part of our of our family we also had a
<<486>> cat
<<486>> that delivered during the pandemic five
<<490>> little kittens and i we also have a dog
<<493>> so my kids do sleep sometimes on the
<<496>> trampoline outside
<<498>> it is uh it is the the growing up that
<<502>> daniel and i want one of them to have
<<505>> they have a lot of space outside
<<507>> during the pandemic i think the ones
<<508>> that were most affected were the oldest
<<511>> children because it was still required
<<514>> of them
<<514>> to have they're they're really good
<<517>> students
<<518>> you know top students of their classes
<<520>> and
<<521>> it was stressful because they felt they
<<523>> could never unplug
<<524>> so i totally relate to what you thought
<<527>> of what you were saying
<<529>> and that was one of the reasons why my
<<531>> oldest daughter said okay
<<533>> if there is any risk that we're going to
<<535>> go back to a sort of lockdown situation
<<538>> here in italy
<<539>> i'm just going to start this year
<<541>> virtually with an american
<<543>> you know my kids were born in united
<<544>> states so with an american school
<<547>> instead the second one is choosing to
<<550>> go back to school and she's going to to
<<552>> start high school here in italy but yeah
<<554>> during the pandemic
<<555>> uh was challenging emotionally i am so
<<559>> grateful literally you know we say this
<<561>> you know the oils support us
<<563>> but i wish i could have my girls here
<<565>> join the call
<<566>> and say how important it was for them
<<569>> to have some of the oils that they got
<<571>> to know better
<<572>> to support their emotions so now we know
<<576>> kind of all the situations i think it'd
<<577>> be really nice to know what oils and
<<579>> what do whatever products did we use
<<582>> when we were in most need because you've
<<585>> all had different needs i'm assuming and
<<588>> i think
<<588>> you know i speak to myself i absolutely
<<591>> love the fact that i had so many things
<<593>> on tap in terms of oils and products
<<595>> that i could use for
<<596>> for any moment so that was a bit of a
<<599>> savior for some some things and i'll
<<601>> explain to you what i've used mine later
<<603>> but i think let's start
<<605>> with julia um because you've got such
<<608>> wide ranges what were you know what's
<<611>> the oils you're most grateful for having
<<613>> what are the products that you are most
<<614>> grateful for
<<615>> having over the last six months with
<<617>> your kids
<<619>> so in the last having all these children
<<621>> one of the
<<622>> blessings of course there are always
<<623>> pros and cons in any situation in life
<<626>> you know whether you have one zero five
<<628>> ten
<<629>> but one of the pros is the fostering
<<632>> independence
<<633>> so a couple of years ago we have decided
<<635>> to invest on diffusers for all of
<<637>> every room where they are some of them
<<640>> are alone some of them share a room
<<642>> and to have their corner of essential
<<644>> oils
<<645>> so i am not the one in charge to
<<648>> um give them exactly what they need all
<<651>> the time it will not be
<<652>> conceivable you know to be at the same
<<655>> time
<<656>> every night in four different rooms
<<658>> making sure that they're all emotionally
<<659>> stable but
<<660>> i've taught them some principles that
<<662>> help them really govern themselves i
<<664>> feel
<<665>> and what i see that um but i will i
<<667>> observe
<<668>> right so as a mother one of the things
<<671>> that i wanted to share with you
<<672>> having a bigger variety we have all the
<<675>> doterra products at home you know
<<676>> there's
<<677>> and and doubles so observing
<<681>> what they energetically need because
<<683>> they know
<<684>> even when they are seven or eight or
<<686>> nine years old if they have the choice
<<689>> and if you teach them since they were
<<690>> you know since they're younger
<<692>> they will know and i've noticed that for
<<694>> example the girls
<<696>> the girls are are women so they went
<<699>> through their growth
<<700>> already and i see that some of the oils
<<703>> that they choose
<<704>> are more for the heart you know i see
<<707>> that they choose
<<708>> floral oils i'm so glad that now we even
<<710>> have the melissa in roll on
<<712>> it's very precious but they are
<<714>> responsible enough
<<716>> to to to use it the younger kids
<<719>> i have prepared some blends for them and
<<722>> some
<<723>> have their own um kids collection
<<726>> with them and i see that the primary
<<730>> school children the eight and ten year
<<731>> old they tend to go towards
<<734>> the mints and the um
<<737>> and the and the citruses so
<<741>> they really they really like wild orange
<<743>> you know the simple blend
<<744>> they like lemon they like peppermint i
<<747>> have one child that is extremely active
<<750>> and i don't know if you guys remember
<<752>> there is this peaceful child blend
<<754>> and there used to be the recipe online
<<757>> and
<<757>> he has his own personal peaceful child
<<760>> blend and he actually
<<761>> uses it so to give you an idea is just
<<765>> they are pretty educated on what oils
<<769>> are for and i see that they go
<<772>> instinctively
<<773>> towards the citruses when they need to
<<775>> be uplifted
<<778>> and i see that they go towards the
<<780>> especially the older kids the older
<<782>> girls towards the flowers
<<784>> so each one chooses what what they feel
<<787>> more
<<787>> connected to yeah and they really like
<<790>> actually clary column
<<791>> they they they each have their own clary
<<794>> count for
<<796>> you know certain times of the month and
<<799>> that does influence even this
<<801>> performance
<<802>> or anything you know if you're not
<<804>> physically okay
<<806>> then it's gonna be hard to be mentally
<<808>> emotionally okay
<<810>> that's great amazing i love that they
<<813>> choose their own things
<<814>> so um anna you're you've got
<<817>> quite the opposite of of the two boys
<<819>> they're very different
<<820>> and one is more open to the oils the
<<823>> other ones are not so much so
<<825>> how do you what oils do you use to go
<<827>> back to school
<<829>> um they they are different because
<<832>> because they smell they are teenagers
<<834>> and
<<834>> he they use the oils in home uh
<<837>> but when they go to the school they
<<839>> don't like to use the oil to because the
<<841>> smell
<<842>> but they put the oils on the feet
<<846>> we have some routine uh now we are
<<849>> they are going to the school and we use
<<851>> a lot the
<<852>> kids collection because they like and
<<854>> the aroma are very good
<<856>> they use calmer in the night when they
<<860>> they come very excited from school or
<<863>> activities
<<864>> they stayed very excited and i put
<<867>> them calm in the in here behind the ears
<<871>> or
<<872>> on the feet at night we use um diffuser
<<875>> a lot when we begin the day and
<<878>> the our morning is very very excited
<<882>> because we because the time and
<<885>> i put in diffuser all day uh some
<<888>> mix of oils balance peppermint and wild
<<891>> orange for
<<892>> we get more balanced and more energizing
<<896>> in the morning
<<897>> or sometimes i put adaptive uh at the
<<901>> night
<<902>> uh they like to use in the diffuser some
<<905>> uh for relax some another blend uh
<<908>> like we have a one blend it's our house
<<912>> secret
<<913>> uh we put uh vetiver
<<916>> bergamot and juniper berry for they
<<919>> sleep
<<920>> like a rocks and they sleep very very
<<922>> well
<<924>> that's a good a good tip vetiver juniper
<<926>> berry and
<<927>> and bergamot bergamot yes
<<931>> they like a lot diffuser and the light
<<934>> is relaxed them
<<936>> in the room uh and we have
<<939>> another another blend we made now for
<<942>> they
<<942>> they felt more stronger and go to the
<<945>> school and i
<<946>> i put some oils because um i put
<<950>> in a roll on i made some blends i put
<<953>> neo-wally palmer rosa
<<956>> frankincense murr for back to the school
<<959>> and
<<960>> now they only put on the feet in the
<<962>> morning
<<963>> and no other part of the body because
<<966>> they don't want
<<967>> anyone smelled the oils but they put it
<<970>> which is a good thing
<<972>> they doesn't matter how the oils are
<<973>> going in if they if they're going
<<975>> through the food it doesn't it doesn't
<<976>> matter at least
<<977>> they're still using them right that's
<<980>> that's a good thing
<<981>> it's a good way of battling for those
<<982>> kids who don't want the
<<984>> don't they'll feel comfortable with
<<985>> certain smells they're conscious that
<<987>> other kids might smell the oils on them
<<989>> some kids are like that
<<990>> is it there's a whole school thing going
<<992>> back isn't it and there's
<<994>> home is a different thing once they get
<<995>> out of the house they they have to be
<<997>> that other person in a way sometimes
<<1000>> don't they
<<1001>> um and yeah you also a little bit
<<1002>> younger how do you
<<1004>> manage the oils with your children oh
<<1007>> gosh we use
<<1008>> a ton of oils um like when parents
<<1011>> meet me on the hallway of the
<<1013>> kindergarten on the school
<<1016>> they're like oh we know you were already
<<1018>> here because we
<<1019>> smelled you like it smelled awesome so
<<1023>> we knew that's anya but yeah
<<1026>> like julia said um it's really amazing
<<1030>> to see that
<<1031>> the little ones noses really know
<<1034>> exactly what they need their instinct is
<<1038>> remarkable so usually in the mornings
<<1041>> i cannot imagine a warning without
<<1044>> citrus oils in the diffuser or adaptive
<<1048>> we love adaptive
<<1050>> so we start mourning with citruses
<<1053>> and some calming and relaxing music
<<1056>> and then before they um leave before we
<<1059>> leave
<<1060>> home um i bring the kids collection
<<1064>> and i say tell me boys which color would
<<1068>> you like to wear today
<<1070>> and they go like hmm sometimes they
<<1074>> choose only one color
<<1076>> and on so and sometimes they go i need
<<1079>> stronger
<<1080>> i need brave i need steady
<<1083>> so we roll the walls all over their
<<1086>> hearts and
<<1087>> down the spines on on the wrists
<<1091>> like i completely trust their choices
<<1094>> i know that they choose exactly what
<<1097>> they need and that's why this collection
<<1100>> is so great because it's
<<1101>> safe to use they can use them by
<<1104>> themselves
<<1106>> and also sometimes they just
<<1109>> want to have a little bit of rose touch
<<1113>> over their heart because they really
<<1115>> love this is oil
<<1117>> this is their favorite oil so sometimes
<<1119>> they also use it together with stronger
<<1122>> and also where the over the heart area
<<1125>> to keep them safe during the day
<<1129>> and also i like to keep a bottle of the
<<1131>> adaptive touch
<<1133>> near our door so we can use it before we
<<1136>> leave home
<<1137>> to know like it's adapting is such an
<<1141>> amazing blend it
<<1142>> it gives me a lot of confidence and to
<<1144>> my family
<<1146>> that everything will be all right that
<<1148>> we got this
<<1149>> no matter what the day brings us so
<<1152>> adaptive in kids collection every
<<1154>> morning like
<<1156>> we re we really really love those ones
<<1159>> so i i love that i love the fact that
<<1161>> you give them what color they want to
<<1163>> wear how nice is it for a small
<<1165>> for a younger child sometimes don't
<<1166>> necessarily understand
<<1168>> all the different oils and what's the
<<1170>> impact of each one
<<1171>> they might connect to a color as well
<<1174>> that's just such a lovely way of
<<1176>> introducing them to the smaller children
<<1178>> where
<<1178>> you know they their minds are too busy
<<1180>> to understand every individual oil
<<1182>> aren't they but we can
<<1183>> connect them that time i mean i mean in
<<1186>> my diffuser i have diffusers all over
<<1188>> the house i have one in the kitchen
<<1190>> i have one in the living room um and i
<<1193>> varied from what i have so the kitchen
<<1195>> is basically the center of the household
<<1197>> in my house
<<1198>> we're always in the kitchen it's always
<<1199>> where everything happens so i tend to
<<1201>> put some more
<<1202>> happy oils i put motivate cheer some
<<1205>> more citric
<<1206>> things in there just because it's i want
<<1208>> to up the boost the morale in general
<<1210>> when things were going a little bit
<<1212>> and we were bored and everybody was home
<<1214>> and you know what else is gonna
<<1215>> have they gonna do um that
<<1218>> i've literally sprayed that all around
<<1220>> the house
<<1222>> and in the evening they would have that
<<1224>> they all have diffusers in their rooms
<<1225>> as well just like you do so
<<1227>> i would have this sort of serenity
<<1229>> balance all these kind of different ones
<<1231>> for the calming
<<1233>> and adaptive sort of more calming blends
<<1235>> for it so
<<1236>> i mean literally these these products
<<1238>> were with us all the time right
<<1240>> how lucky how lucky do we feel that
<<1242>> there was something that we had on tap
<<1244>> that we could
<<1245>> say oh you feeling now we'll use that
<<1247>> why don't you try this
<<1248>> try that um i think that was a
<<1252>> very good thing i i feel that it is such
<<1255>> a gift
<<1256>> in in a world you know we send them to
<<1258>> school
<<1259>> and they don't really learn in school um
<<1263>> i don't know unless you know you send
<<1264>> them to a very very alternative or
<<1266>> holistic school
<<1268>> but normally when you send them to
<<1270>> school
<<1271>> they don't learn really coping mechanism
<<1274>> for
<<1274>> to balance their emotional and mental
<<1277>> state
<<1278>> what a gift truly this is the most
<<1281>> important gift doterra has given me and
<<1283>> my family
<<1284>> the fact that we can work in different
<<1287>> layers
<<1288>> you know when i started with doterra i
<<1290>> bought the
<<1291>> the natural solutions kit because i saw
<<1293>> that there were
<<1294>> supplements for me and supported me in
<<1296>> my sports
<<1298>> and then i saw the diffuser and you know
<<1299>> there were a lot of other
<<1301>> products for their physical stage you
<<1304>> know like i was thinking you know this
<<1306>> is
<<1306>> for when they fall or to support their
<<1309>> immune system
<<1310>> you know all of the all of the classic
<<1312>> oils
<<1313>> in the way that we we have known them
<<1315>> traditionally
<<1316>> but as we have grown into the knowledge
<<1320>> of the oils
<<1322>> but i find that what we use the oils the
<<1324>> most
<<1326>> and i'm so grateful for the years of
<<1327>> preparation that we have had
<<1329>> leading up to this global situation is
<<1332>> truly the mental and emotional
<<1334>> and that is the that's the gift the big
<<1337>> gift that we can give to our children to
<<1339>> be able to listen
<<1340>> and observe themselves and recognize
<<1343>> their needs and not blame the
<<1346>> circumstances and feeling that they're
<<1348>> in charge
<<1349>> of their whole emotional and mental
<<1351>> health since they're
<<1353>> pretty young you know eight nine years
<<1355>> old can already recognize
<<1357>> the feelings of anger or frustration or
<<1360>> sadness
<<1362>> that's so so powerful that em that
<<1364>> message is really
<<1365>> strong and it is something that
<<1366>> sometimes you know people forget
<<1369>> they when new people come to the terror
<<1371>> they often look like you said for the
<<1372>> physical side and
<<1374>> and yeah here we are and all we've
<<1375>> talked about was mostly the emotional
<<1377>> side
<<1378>> right you know we didn't talk about
<<1381>> essential oils that they're gonna need
<<1383>> to go back to school but actually you
<<1384>> know perhaps it's something we should
<<1386>> talk about the physical side as well and
<<1389>> obviously at the beginning epidemic
<<1390>> everybody you know we were all taking on
<<1392>> guard
<<1392>> and we'd take all that all the time but
<<1394>> you know there were lots of other things
<<1395>> we take
<<1396>> but we forget because when we see here
<<1399>> in a situation we have for six months
<<1401>> it's the emotional side that counts we
<<1404>> all hold on to that emotional power
<<1406>> and that is so so strong it's fantastic
<<1410>> so now we talked about what the kids go
<<1412>> for what aisles the kids go to
<<1414>> i want to know what about you how are
<<1417>> you feeling with your children going
<<1419>> back to school
<<1420>> because i hear from people everywhere
<<1423>> there's a huge
<<1424>> mix of emotions some people are chuffed
<<1428>> that they're going back we can't have my
<<1429>> house back and you know things can go
<<1431>> back to normal
<<1433>> some people don't want to let go but
<<1435>> some moms are worried
<<1437>> about the safety of their children about
<<1439>> the fact they're going to be mixing with
<<1440>> lots of other children
<<1442>> and there's a whole mix of emotions
<<1444>> going on here
<<1445>> you know and actually each one of us
<<1447>> sees this return
<<1448>> back to some kind of normality in a
<<1450>> different format so
<<1452>> what i want to know is what do you go
<<1455>> for
<<1456>> when at the moment is it a relief
<<1460>> is it a joy how what oils are you used
<<1463>> to support your emotions right now
<<1465>> as your children are preparing
<<1466>> themselves so they are going back to
<<1468>> school
<<1469>> so i'm going to start with anna now
<<1473>> so for them it's good to go to the
<<1476>> go back to the routine now this year
<<1479>> they go to another school
<<1480>> a different school with another friend
<<1482>> and they are very excited to
<<1484>> to go and to begin a new life and uh
<<1488>> um they are happy a little bit
<<1492>> this is different because they have to
<<1494>> use masks in the in the classroom
<<1497>> but they are happy and i'm i'm happy to
<<1500>> to
<<1500>> they go back to the new routine and the
<<1503>> new school and
<<1504>> is there any special oil that you go for
<<1507>> yourself
<<1508>> to help you to with all of this
<<1509>> transition yes
<<1511>> yes i'm the the oils help me
<<1515>> help myself to be more
<<1519>> more confident and to have more courage
<<1522>> to let him go they go
<<1526>> yes let them go sometimes we have to
<<1528>> don't you
<<1529>> and yeah how are you going to cope with
<<1532>> this new start
<<1534>> you know that actually i'm quite
<<1537>> calm with everything because you know
<<1540>> essential oils are really
<<1542>> powerful um like they really empower
<<1545>> our kids teach them mindfulness
<<1548>> um together we do a lot of aromatic
<<1552>> anchoring
<<1553>> we anchor to gratitude and and
<<1556>> with your anchoring came from anchoring
<<1559>> affirmations so i know
<<1562>> they have everything they need so
<<1565>> frankly i'm quite happy that they are
<<1568>> going back to school in kindergarten
<<1571>> they also have diffusers in kindergarten
<<1575>> with some calming calls
<<1578>> and so that's a perfect thing but as
<<1582>> it is for myself i use a lot of
<<1585>> yarrow foam also i like aromatically
<<1589>> dressing
<<1590>> with it so and a lot of
<<1593>> beautiful mist yarrow palm and beautiful
<<1596>> mist
<<1597>> works like magic for me and of course a
<<1600>> lot of
<<1600>> adaptive but i am happy because i know
<<1603>> they are really
<<1604>> well prepared and like julia said
<<1608>> um it's so great that we can teach
<<1612>> our kids to be mindful um and yeah we
<<1615>> really have an amazing tool
<<1617>> in our hands so it's all that comes
<<1620>> fantastic
<<1621>> and lastly this is the last julia this
<<1624>> is our last question
<<1626>> how are you feeling about all of this
<<1628>> mixed emotions going on
<<1630>> oh man i i think this is my favorite
<<1633>> question
<<1635>> okay we have so much power
<<1638>> so much power i don't know if you guys
<<1640>> see it in your team
<<1642>> in your business in your family when you
<<1645>> are somewhat aligned
<<1648>> and to get me there yes essentially
<<1651>> support me but i also
<<1653>> do physical things i need to run i need
<<1655>> to bike i need to do those things that
<<1657>> make me feel alive
<<1658>> okay so it's not just sitting on a tree
<<1661>> smelling
<<1662>> balanced or in tune
<<1665>> lately i've used in tune like crazy i
<<1668>> don't know what i
<<1669>> i just i take it everywhere i don't
<<1672>> start the day
<<1673>> and end the day without your palm just
<<1675>> like anya i was smiling because
<<1677>> i love the body one minute so i put it
<<1680>> all over me
<<1681>> i mean i have been
<<1685>> i started traveling again teaching
<<1686>> aromatouch and
<<1688>> having some constant you know some a
<<1691>> certain routine for me really blesses me
<<1694>> but uh i am i feel at peace
<<1698>> and it is not something that has come
<<1700>> like this
<<1701>> i don't feel at peace because i watch
<<1703>> the news i i
<<1705>> i turn them off i i actually haven't
<<1707>> watched news you know
<<1708>> in years and years i feel at peace
<<1710>> because
<<1712>> of what i learned of accepting the
<<1714>> situation and welcoming it
<<1717>> and i feel that this is a way of looking
<<1719>> at life there will always be a reason to
<<1721>> worry
<<1723>> our grandparents always had reasons to
<<1725>> worry you know my dad
<<1727>> was conceived during world war ii
<<1730>> my grandmother tried to end that
<<1733>> pregnancy
<<1734>> and because it was they had just bombed
<<1736>> their house
<<1737>> so if we i'm a historian and if we put
<<1739>> ourselves in the context
<<1741>> of history we realize that in every
<<1745>> era there have been dramas terrible
<<1748>> things
<<1748>> happening and and i feel that worrying
<<1752>> about the future
<<1753>> it's just sucking and draining our
<<1755>> energies just to take
<<1757>> take our life energy from us it's easy
<<1759>> to say it's hard to do in the moment
<<1761>> when you see that your children have
<<1762>> plans we had specific plans for
<<1765>> this year the airlines canceled our
<<1767>> ticket to do
<<1769>> to to you know to do certain things and
<<1770>> to take certain certain actions
<<1773>> but when unexpected things happen we
<<1774>> always have the choice and
<<1776>> here there are oils like
<<1779>> anchor like the the yoga the yoga trio
<<1782>> is just much more than yoga but each one
<<1786>> of you i'm sure
<<1787>> will have their anchoring oils on the
<<1789>> grounding oils
<<1790>> but i guess what i'm sharing with you is
<<1792>> that we
<<1794>> are the most important people
<<1797>> to take care of it's like in the
<<1799>> airplane
<<1800>> you gotta have that mask first you gotta
<<1803>> have that
<<1804>> oxygen first oxygen first in your life
<<1806>> in order to give balance
<<1809>> inspire your children so yeah i a big
<<1812>> message to all the moms
<<1814>> that freak out about all the kids just
<<1816>> take time for yourself
<<1818>> i learned it the hard way with myself
<<1821>> because i was not
<<1822>> naturally like that i so agree with you
<<1825>> that's beautifully put because
<<1827>> if you don't look after yourself how can
<<1828>> you look after your little ones isn't it
<<1830>> you've got to look after your own mental
<<1832>> health
<<1833>> and your own sanity in a way so
<<1836>> you can then afford to take time and
<<1838>> dedicate them to your children and
<<1840>> this is one of the reasons i asked that
<<1842>> question because everybody's all about
<<1843>> you know what we're going to do to the
<<1844>> kids i'm like yeah what about you how
<<1846>> about your emotions
<<1848>> how are you feeling you know i know that
<<1850>> you know next week my son goes to
<<1852>> university for the start for the first
<<1853>> time in my life in the last 18 years
<<1856>> i'll have no children at home and i'll
<<1858>> be like what am i gonna do
<<1860>> i think for the first few weeks i'm
<<1862>> gonna celebrate the fact that the house
<<1863>> is
<<1864>> tidy and the fridge hasn't just
<<1865>> evaporated with food consistently
<<1867>> you know all those lovely things that
<<1870>> you obviously get
<<1871>> and then you kind of eventually i know
<<1873>> he's gonna sort of come down to
<<1876>> okay this is this is what my life is
<<1878>> going to be now the children you know
<<1879>> fly in the nest that's what i raise them
<<1881>> for i raise them so they can become
<<1883>> independent grown-up adults
<<1885>> i raise them so they can be you know
<<1888>> this can survive out there by themselves
<<1890>> i don't want the
<<1891>> whole hang of my wing for the rest of
<<1892>> their lives that's not what we want but
<<1895>> at some stage that realization comes
<<1899>> and when you know when they when my son
<<1901>> goes off to university independent
<<1902>> living
<<1903>> in liverpool which is a long way from
<<1904>> here be like
<<1907>> well i won't see you at chris until
<<1908>> christmas now and and
<<1910>> you're just gonna have to fence and do
<<1911>> your own washing do your own cooking and
<<1914>> you know i'm sure you'll survive you'll
<<1916>> probably go through without pans for a
<<1917>> while but then you'll work it out but
<<1919>> that's what they do
<<1921>> and i think for us all um whatever the
<<1924>> age they are
<<1925>> you know we all we are all mothers we
<<1927>> raise our children from
<<1928>> you know we want them to be successful
<<1930>> and to be happy and to be
<<1932>> adults independent mature man so
<<1935>> thank you thank you all for your
<<1938>> contributions today it's been absolutely
<<1940>> incredible
<<1941>> um to hear from all of you in your
<<1944>> experiences to know they actually were
<<1945>> all in
<<1946>> more or less the same boat with
<<1948>> different situations different countries
<<1951>> different places in europe but we are
<<1953>> actually all in the same
<<1954>> boat and i'm sure for all the mums out
<<1956>> there
<<1957>> and all the kids are going back to
<<1959>> school probably all feeling a little bit
<<1961>> of the same emotions that we've just
<<1962>> shared here
<<1963>> i'm sure in all the different situations
<<1966>> and you know what guys
<<1967>> you are not alone you are not alone and
<<1970>> we are
<<1971>> so lucky that we have amazing essential
<<1974>> oils
<<1975>> to support us to to help us through the
<<1978>> next
<<1978>> few weeks the next few months they've
<<1980>> helped us in the past they're going to
<<1981>> carry on helping us in the future
<<1983>> so my my message to anna
<<1987>> and ania and julie is thank you for for
<<1989>> sharing your
<<1990>> your experiences with us and for sharing
<<1992>> your family
<<1994>> connections with us i'm really grateful
<<1996>> to get to know you
<<1997>> all of your experience here and to all
<<1999>> of you guys out there that are going to
<<2001>> hear this
<<2002>> good luck with your children go to
<<2003>> school i'm sure they'll be fine i'm sure
<<2005>> follow your instincts i'm sure you know
<<2007>> you all know what to do and yeah grab
<<2010>> that little bottle of social oil
<<2011>> whenever you need
<<2012>> because it's there for it isn't it so
